Dr. Gerilynn S Vine

Dr. Vine delivered my daughter in 2017. My care up until my delivery was great. The delivery was awful! I was not going to leave a review and wanted to put the experience behind me but I received a few calls from the office randomly today and I see someone else had a bad delivery too. I had a scheduled c section and there were mild complications but baby and I were fine. What made it awful was when I was lying on the table she struggled to put me back together and told me. I could not move or really speak but she told me somebodies weren’t meant to carry children and was also really struggling to close me back up. It was my second c section but the first was nothing like this.

Dr Vine diagnosed my endometrial cancer. She communicated the biopsy result to me in such a caring and concerned manner that I was just so blown away. No doctor ever came across as caring as much as she did. She also diagnosed my recotocele which no gynecologist ever even mentioned. Excellent referrals to specialists saved my life and set me on a true healing journey.

The majority of my prenatal care with Dr. Vine was great. The sonographer and the lady that does the bloodwork are both wonderful humans and so is her assistant, Elizabeth. The office staff is difficult to deal with and the billing department is truly the worst. Despite being asked to make all payments up front even though we knew we'd meet our deductible, we had to wait 6 months to receive a reimbursement check of almost $2K- and they only sent it because we kept calling and requesting it. My experience with Dr. Vine during my L&D was traumatic. She did not thoroughly explain things before she did them and she was impatient when delivery took longer than she would have liked. I almost asked her to leave the room and let the nurses deliver our son. The only saving grace for my entire birth experience were the wonderful nurses at Memorial Hermann. I have waited over a year and a half to write this review, but I feel like other ladies should know what they are getting into… with Dr. Vine. I hope she learned from the experience and is a better doctor for other patients in the future, but I will not be returning to her for next child.

Excellent staff.... horrible office staff!!

This was my first wellness visit with Dr. Vine. She never asked me about my sex life. I tried to voice concerns about my period and the severity of my cramps and she told me to take mortin. Didn't ask any questions that weren't on her check box. I got more from WebMD than my interaction with her. Every question I asked received a one-sentence response. Maybe I caught her on a bad day. Maybe she just didn't care. It was a very unpleasant experience and felt like a waste of time.

Absolutely Loved her! It is an uncomfortable situation and she made it a breeze, I hope she stays in this area...if not I will travel to Houston to see her! I am in healthcare as well, and it is hard to find those Doctors who are diamonds in the ruff! I would recommend her to my friends, family and patients!

Dr Vine has made my pregnancy seamless. She really cares and is very kind! I enjoy having her as my doctor and would highly recommend her!
