Dr. Rafael Ghafar Nafes, MD

Out of all the doctors that I've seen to try to find a cause or diagnosis of my chronic illness I've had for about half my life now, he has been the worst. He was not able to help me because he was unwillingness to refer me to the right places and just wanted to repeat the same tests. My husband and I never had to advocate for myself so much only to make a little progress. His attitude and constant interrupting showed that he did not want to be my doctor. He told me to find a different doctor and that there's nothing he could do. The suffering because of my health that I go through is immense and he definitely added to it. He might be a fine doctor to go to if you have an issue that is more common and acute, but not if it is a complex chronic illness. I don't want to be treated like a lazy and crazy liar. At least be more kind.

Dr Nafes was on call doctor - in spite of being short handed - he and his nurse did a splendid job of doing a thorough job of patient care. Happy - worth a bit of a wait ??

I had moved to north county from the south bay and wanted a dr. In the area. My primary doctor recommended Graybill. I don't like Medical groups because they usually treat you like a number instead of like a person but thought I would try them since my primary recommended them.I called and was able to get an appointment with Dr. Nafes. Waited about 10 minutes before being called. Once vitals were taken, was seen by Dr. Nafes about 10 minutes. Dr. Nafes was polite, listened to me and recommended treatment. Very professional. The group even called the next day to follow up and see how I was doing.I recommend Dr. Nafes highly
