Dr. Ghassan Ghazi Sinada, DDS

Dr. Sinada attempted to restore dental function after a cancer surgery that required transplanted jawbone and radiation. He did not consult his colleagues on my surgical team and the reconstructive surgeon would not have agreed with the procedure. Sinada exposed the jawbone while placing implants and did not acknowledge that fact until my surgeon reported the damage at first glance. An infection ensued, along with the time and expense of many four-hour round trips for Sinada and my reconstructive surgeon to monitor potential healing. The exposure never healed, and a rescue surgery and 8-day hospital stay became necessary. I have undergone significant pain, expense, and ongoing reduced quality of life due to Dr. Sinada's actions. I do not believe him to be incompetent but in my case his failures to consult with colleagues and to place the implants without damaging delicate surrounding tissues have imposed on me a lesser existence than I had before his intervention.
