Ive tried to get help from either her or anyone in Dr. Gia Hemmen and they respond with i cant help u it's not my job. From my understanding a Doctor is supposed to help u. I dont recommend her to anyone unless u plan on getting absolutely no help.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hemmen. She has diagnosed some things for me that we were able to successfully treat. I've been a patient for along time, (maybe since she first started her practice?), and have followed her to 3 different offices! I was sad when she switched to emergency care for awhile and was thrilled when she returned to family practice again. Dr. Hemmen always spends a good amount of time with her patients so she may have a longer wait time than other places. I do try to make my appointments earlier in the day before it gets too backed up but it's hard to find a good doctor that you can trust so it's worth an extra wait for me...just bring a good book to read. Dr. Hemmen has personally called me several times to follow up on items or just to get more information. She also is very good at answering emails through the Mychart program. I have always found her to be very pleasant yet professional so I was also surprised by the one bad review here.

The doctor made me feel like a complete foreigner when I came to see her for the first few times. I never heard back from her and her bedside manner is less than satisfactory. I also ran into her in public and spoke but she didn't care to reply. When I politely (and excitingly, as a matter of fact) reminded her that I was a patient of hers, she brushed me off as if I was bothering her. Why would anyone treat someone like that... especially a patient who is providing you with business and referrals?In addition, I went to her for routine checkups but never felt that she cared whether I was well or not. She was just going through the motions. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend her to anyone that I know or asks me for a physician in the Seattle area.
