Dr. Gigi Kroll, MD

I’ve been with Dr. Kroll for over 15 years with overall very good experiences, but since I’m not a concierge patient and now see Dr. Sharp; the staff has become abrupt, unhelpful and this time outright rude. Trying to refill a prescription has become an impossible task. Dr. Kroll’s office submitted my prescription incorrectly and I’m calling back to have it resubmitted. However, they were obstinate and refused to be any help since they were going to close in 30 minutes. She had already confirmed I’m not a concierge patient. She told me to give her the street address and phone # of my pharmacy. I didn’t know the actual street address, but reiterated that’s it’s in my file. She said I needed to call back with the street address. I hung up, looked up the address and called back immediately, but she blocked my call. This experience with the front office was truly unbelievable.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gigi Kroll's for one year now and strongly recommend her! This was my first pregnancy and, being a new mom with so many concerns, I really appreciated Dr. Kroll's patience, warm spirit, and diligence in answering all my questions throughout the past year. Her expertise came in handy at the time of my baby's birth. Baby's heart rate dropped mid-labor and we had minutes to react. Dr. Kroll was there to save the day. We did an emergency c-section and baby came out just minutes later, healthy and perfect. I healed very quickly too! I'm so glad we went with Dr. Kroll as our OBGYN. As scary as the situation was, she made us feel extremely comfortable and confident that we were going to be okay. Every visit with Dr. Kroll, Eileen and staff was positive and informative. They took the time to get to know my husband and I and made us feel welcome and cared for. Very professional, warm-natured and expertly trained, I'm proud to have Dr. Kroll and Newport Center Womens… Health as my OBGYN.

Giving birth should be one of life's greatest treasured moments for any mother. Sadly for me, it was the opposite. I have had some time reflect upon this. There are some things I could not control and some that I could. One that I could control, I didn't, despite reading numerous reviews on this website that served as ample warning against going with Gigi. Its not personal, Gigi has a nice office and is nice during visits, but in the end, she just doesn't care and wasn't there for me.

I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews and reliving bad experiences. So let me be short. If you care about yourself or loved ones enough to protect their health and psyche, then at all costs avoid dr Kroll who is as insensitive, uncaring and snobbish as they come. She hardly attends any of her client’s births and basically outsources the most important part of child birth (delivery) to other doctors. You may as well just go to the ER when the time comes because with dr Kroll, the chances are a stranger will deliver your baby. THese issues represent only the tip of the iceberg with her. I don’t have the energy or time to detail all the offensive and ignorant things she has done in the short time we saw her. If you insist on seeing her at least go in with eyes wide open and good luck to you and your baby.

Cares more about her dinner plans than her patients and their babies. Her exact quote in response to an honest question about the likelihood that she versus another doctor will attend delivery was "Your baby is delivered by whoever is one call. I have to have dinner with my family too." In other words you have a 80% probability of having a total stranger deliver your child. Might as well go to ER. Nice. Enjoy your dinner. I'm finding a doctor who actually cares.

Horrible

All I can say about Dr. Kroll is that she is AMAZING! She is so kind and knowledgeable. She takes the time to sit down and listen to ALL of my questions without ever making me feel like it's an imposition. Long story short, she is simply an excellent doctor. She took care of me through a difficult pregnancy, delivered my baby, and continues to be my gynecologist, and I will never use another doctor again. She is just a wonderful person and doctor and I recommend her highly to anyone who wants the BEST in OB/GYN care.

Incredible doctor with an amazing bedside manner!

Gigi Kroll's knowledge and experience is like none other! I was treated for uterine polyps and fibroids (she suggested a uterine ablation as treatment) and I feel SO MUCH BETTER now. Thank you! Gigi is very personable and approachable, I don't feel embarrassed talking with her (or anyone in the practice.) The health professionals and office staff are courteous, and the facility is up-to-date and welcoming. Yes the office ebbs and flows (just like any obstetrical practice) but I've always been treated politely and in a timely fashion over the last 3 years (in office and on the phone.) Gigi truly enjoys caring for people and it shows!

There are no words to describe Dr. Kroll. She is the most amazing and patient doctor I have ever been too. She is filled with so much knowledge. Everytime I visit her with a list of my questions she sits with me and answers everyone so patiently. She is just the most amazing doctor ever.
