Horrible bedside manners. How does she still have patients?

Perhaps this doctor is valuable to hospitals by protecting their bottom-line financial interests. I cannot pass judgment on her technical expertise or medical knowledge, but her interaction with patients is combative and dictatorial. I have personally witnessed her browbeat a terminally ill patient, refusing to give the patients medical charts to the patient, virtually yelling at the patient to do what Dr Thomas wants the patient to do, all without explaining why, or laying out what options and likely outcomes the patient has. In my experience, this doctor does not inspire confidence or establish a constructive, curative rapport.

p.a. came into my ICU room and "lectured" me on a story about her back pain that she lives with. She did not care that my Medtronic Pump went empty and I flatlined. She stated that "one day my heart, liver and kidney's were no longer going to function. I told her " been there...done that" . She then informed me that she had a patient that was paralyzed from the neck down, crawled to the bathroom, then walked, then waled stairs in L.A. and then wrote a book". I told her to shut up. I was too sick and I had been through 5 times more than than and too had been paralyzed from the neck down. DO NOT SEE HER, ASK FOR HER, MAKE AN APPT. WITH HER, NOTHING!!! Nurses in St. Jude says "she is a disgrace to all of our professions". UNLESS YOU WANT TO FILE A PHYSICIAN MALPRACTICE LAWSUIT..DO NOT USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL DR.

Doesn't care at all about the patient. Horrible. Recommend some body else
