Dr. Gilbert Bernard Mandel, MD

He's a nice guy but he's not so great with the meds he'll prescribe. He's good with common stuff like colds and sinus infection but with newer and more modern problems then he's not so great. If you need a doctor in general then he's great, but if you have concerns with blood pressure, STDS, or hemorrhoids then you're better off with someone else.

Over 40 years I have seen Doctor Mandel. My age is 74. I thank him and credit him for my good health.

I went to this doctor after moving into the area. He spent time discussing my history and after he did an exam he found something that my prior doctor missed. I am thankful to now have a doctor who takes the time to review my paperwork and discuss my body with me.

Just because someone writes the books and can memorize the material doesn't mean that they make a good doctor. I visited Dr. Mandel for what could be serious issues. My blood pressure was taken and then there was a 1 minute interview by the doctor. Then, shortly after, came the diagnosis. I had to make my own recommendations to him for what I was experiencing. Each recommendation was shrugged off as he merely suggested a physical in a year. He even took an extended phone call during our discussion! I was extremely put off that someone, whose job is to troubleshoot medical concerns, gave me less closure than a non-interested stranger would. I will never see him again for anything.

Terrible service - never get call back for a service result

My employer switched our health plan and I had to go to this office. I was treated by Dr. Mandel. I felt relieved at how easily he understood my medical history and answered my questions. I plan to now have Dr. Mandel care for my children. He listened, he cared, and he has more experience than my prior doctor.

Dr. Mandel was not very good at answering my questions and told me not to worry about my concerns without providing a reason. He was not interested in what I had to say and was very quick to jump to conclusions, is not fluent in the understanding advance techniques of treatment for surgical patients. A very impatient and impersonable doctor, would not recommend.
