Dr. Gilbert Postler, MD

Waited about an hour to see him to spend most of my appointment with him telling me the three other doctors that diagnosed me as hEDS were not qualified. Never mind the other three people in my family diagnosed with this genetic hereditary disorder including my son (who was diagnosed before me) and the numerous doctors that confirmed them. Also my primary doctor treats many of the local Clearwater chapter of EDS as well as the group leader. He was a bit rude to his medical assistant. Postler is dismissive and seemed to really enjoy gaslighting me. When I asked about POTS, he said "oh you think you have that too" rudely. He looked up all my doctors with me in the room only to talk down about their qualifications. I was there because I have high cholesterol, MVP, my ekg was borderline, and my doctor says I am at risk of a heart attack. It would of been nice to talk about cardiology during my visit. I left in tears and felt like I was going to have a heart attack in the parking lot. I did… not make any follow up appointments and I am waiting a month to see another Cardiologist, but he is EDS knowledgeable thank goodness. I think Postler was rude because he is not comfortable treating EDS patients.

He takes the time to explain things and answers all your question. His staff is very friendly. Your wait time in the lobby to see the doctor is short.

Dr. Postler is a true professional. He was very thorough and fully addressed each of my concerns. He was calm, compassionate, and focused during visits, even when his patient was not. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good cardiologist.

Unfortunately, this doctor exhibits a dismissive attitude toward patients. He does not exhibit a level of care in providing healthcare to patients. I would not recommend this doctor at all.
