Dr. Gilbert Neil Ross, MD

I would NOT go to this Dr. again.

Love Dr. Ross. Knowledgeable and thorough. More importantly he can perform many tests (bone density, X-rays, et al) in his office! Staff fantastic!

Ever since I've been seeing Dr. Ross, my condition has gotten worse. He leaves no room for compromise and doesn't value my opinion whatsoever; basically, it's his way or the highway. He's extremely condescending. His pamphlets, brochures, and initial questionnaire are old and out of date. I've had an x-ray, bone scan, and numerous blood/urine work, just for him to confirm what other doctor's--and myself--have already diagnosed in the past. And after all that, my condition was not "severe enough" for him to treat with anything other than a simple anti-inflammatory, despite my concerns that it could spread and worsen if neglected. Since then, my arthritis has spread to two more of my fingers and my spine. He did nothing for my condition.

What? Saying he wants to fondle breasts? I have been a patient of Dr. Ross for over 20 years, never fondled my breasts and he has been very competent and compassionate. I now have emphezema and am on terminal illness and he has been supportive all the way recommending specialists all the way. He spends as much time as you need without rushing. My husband is in the medical field and also highly recommends him.

Stay away from this doctor! I came in because my ANA test was high and I needed a lupus evaluation. I got more than I bargained for. He's one of those icky types that can't wait to get his hands on the ladies' breasts. I didn't come for a gyn exam and wasn't at all prepared for his gig. He had me disrobe for an EKG and then waited in the exam room for my "exam". He then came in with a woman and introduced her as his... he didn't finished the sentence. She looked like she was under some kind of duress. I was watching her trying to figure out what her role was. I soon found out. She was there to distract me while he fondled my breasts. I suspect he has been accused of misconduct before so he brought her is as a "witness". There are lots of good rheumatologists in town. Stay clear of this old geeser.

Here are a few things to consider. It doesn't matter what's wrong with you, you'll need an x-ray. Have a cough, somethings sore, or its just an annual checkup, youll need an x-ray. Dont count on him to listen to your concerns. I was told, Im the doctor, my patients do what I tell them. Promptness is not his strong point either, plan on spending the morning or afternoon in his office. His office staff is efficient and friendly, but dont expect them to follow-up with you after any type of lab work or test. The only time they call is to set up your next appointment. Dr. Ross is an average doctor at best. You'll get adequate medical care but it will be frustrating, time consuming, and costly.
