Dr. Gillian Michael Goddard, MD

Dr. Goddard is an outstanding physician. She has treated me for a number of conditions over many years, and is always thorough and diligent. She gets to know her patients and is one of the few specialists who provides individualized care. Dr. Goddard has excellent technical skills and judgment and is a terrific communicator. I would highly recommend her to friends and family.

Cold and uncaring. Kind of like a robot doctor. She dodged me and gave me the runaround so I never got to discuss the results of my blood test with her. Bad experience.

Doctor could literally care less about her patients. I felt ill at the office and she didn't care to check in on me. When she called me to give me the results after I had called her a handful of times she sounded as if she had put me on mute and was doing something else. On top of everything she forgot what I came in for and just spoke to me about something completely different. Worst experience ever. Additionally, after explaining to a nurse at the office that I sometimes faint from getting blood taken, she ignored my request to be lied down before getting my blood drawn, and I fainted. Worst part is she kept taking my blood while I was out. Needless to say, I will not be back there.

I have seen Dr. Goddard three times now, and have had to wait a bit in the waiting room to see her. However, Doctor Goddard is so thorough, makes you feel comfortable, and listens to each of your symptoms. She makes you feel like you are her only patient. I was referred to Dr. Goddard by the ER, and am so lucky to have found her. We are still in the midst of a full diagnosis, but I feel confident and comfortable in Dr. Goddard's care. She is very knowledgeable, and takes time to explain everything.

All I can say is that thank goodness I found Dr. Goddard and her office. She literally saved my life. After 4 miscarriages, I just delivered a healthy baby. I had a mild under-active thyroid, with Hashimoto's. Other doctors just dismissed my symptoms, but Dr. Goddard carefully spent the time investigating and ordered the correct tests. Her staff is wonderful and for the first time in my life, I actually look forward to seeing the doctor. Thank you so much. I am so happy and have not felt so great in years.

I went to see Dr. Goddard because I feel like doctors these days really don't care about their patients, we are just another $$$ sign and lots of Endo's really don't know how to treat thyroid. Based on her good reviews online which is why I chose her. On my first appointment I waited a good 30 minutes. And practically I spent close to 2 HOURS in her office. I had to sign a ton of forms too which said they may or may not do things that's not covered by the insurance. How am I supposed to know what my insurance covers when sometimes even the doctors don't know. Not to mention when I went for labwork, the tests she ordered came out to about $1400!!!! I do have insurance, but seriously, what tests did she order??? They did all sorts of tests on me, some EKG machine, etc. All this took close to 2 hours. Luckily I had the day off, but NO WAY this would fly if I was at work and on my lunch break. So needless to say my first appointment with the wait and all kinda disappointed me. I figured I… give her one more chance. 6 weeks later I went to see her again. This time on my lunch break and I waited close to 50 minutes...yes 50!!! I was bounced from one examination room to another. Several people came in looking at my chart, but not the doctor. She seemed very all over the place and just kept apologizing for being late. Twice??? Come on! She has a very charming personality, but the office itself is super unorganized. You call there, and you are put on hold 10+ minutes. You leave Dr. Goddard a message and you never hear back and when you call again you get a nasty attitude from the receptionists. So, on my second appointment she tells me to come back in 4 weeks. As I am about to leave her office, it dawned on me, she didn't give me a slip for Labwork (as I have to go to Labcorp, and not thru her lab). When I asked the receptionist if she can ask the doctor about it. She tells me I don't need labwork for my next appointment. How is THAT possible??? How do you determine what my TSH levels are without a labwork. I have called her several times since because I am not wasting my time going for my 3rd appointment if this is how the office handles patients and I am really tired running after a doctor. Funny, cuz when I called the receptionist gives me an attitude that Dr. Goddard is with a patient. Well, I am a patient too and I waited BOTH times over 30+ minutes for her. Yeah, not very happy. Looks like I am gonna be looking for another doctor.

I was thrilled after my visit with Dr. Goddard. I have been "shopping around" for a female endocrinologist who can take the time to understand my case. No one else has been able to explain my complex thyroid problem to me and Dr. Goddard did with ease. Her office has all of the modern equipment, excellent nurses who draw blood, and is easy to get to from the 6 train. She even accepts my insurance. Cannot say enough good things.
