I think she is a good doctor if you can get past the office staff.

Dr. Perez is an excellent physician , great person , always listen to you , takes time with her patients. I am very happy with her care , I have been a her patient since 2000.

Did not discuss or treat elevated Cholesterol found in blood work. Switched doctors and 2nd treated it right away.

Gilly Perez is the best primary care doctor I have ever had.

I went to Dr. Perez because she was very well recommended to me. My first visit was excellent. She took time to go thru my medical history and meticulously she did a physical examination. She referred me to an orthopeadic surgeon and told me that the surgeon will do my surgery in Baptist or South Miami Hospital. I was very pleased. I went to the orthopeadic surgeon. I liked him except that he was not able to go to Baptist or South Miami as most of his patients like but he has to go to Coral Gables Hospital due to the insurance contract or special group. I have been promised by my Humana Agent that Baptist will be the hospital of choice. Even Dr. Perez had expressed in my first and only visit that the surgery would be done at Baptist or South Miami. I have been in pain for a long time and wanted very much to have this issue solved. In addition, I called my agent to complaint for false information. That same evening, I received a call from one of Dr. Perez's staff and… informed me that all of Dr. Perez's referrals for any surgery under Humana will be done at Baptist except for Orthopeadic! I was stunned and totally sadden. I told the nurse that I have been given false information from the start and that I felt that people have been deceptive. Nevertheless, the next morning, I called the surgeon's office and agreed to have my surgery at Coral Gables Hospital because I was desperate. To end my very unfortunate experience, Dr. Perez's nurse called me the following day to tell me I was not welcome at that office anymore because what I have said of Dr. Perez to her. I pleaded several times to speak to Dr. Perez, which she denied. I pleaded to forgive me that perhaps she misunderstood me. No! No! was her response. Dr. Perez's staff is not happy with you therefore we don't want you to come here anymore. I could not understand why she would say that since I had no conversation with anyone else in that office except her. I was left with no physician, in terrible pain, desperate! No compassion, No communication, No caring. It has been the worst experience of my life!!!

She never returns patients phone calls no matter what. She sent me to a hematologist twice when my blood results were normal. She could care less about her patients health. In two years of seeing her she never once physically checked me. She would just send me to dolab work. She has no knowledge on how to read lab results and really should not be practicing medicine. Her staff is rude and knows no English or Spanish and they will treat you like garbage. AVOID THIS SO CALLED DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS. You will thank me.

I've been seeing Dr. Perez for four or five years. At each appointment an assistant talks with me first. When Dr. Perez comes in to see me, it's clear that she has already studied the assistant's notes. She keeps up with my history and remembers little details, even when it's been a long time between visits. She often notices and treats symptoms that were not part of the main presenting problem. Once was short of breath after walking from the parking lot, and told the nurse that had been happening lately. Dr. Perez had staff members give me a breathing treatment, then she came back, checked my breathing again (which was improved), and referred me for further diagnostic tests. Another time my back was "out" on the day of an appointment for something else; she noticed my difficulty in walking and gave me a shot which immediately improved my condition. Dr Perez takes time with me and is easy to talk with. Right now she is coordinating the specialists' referrals I need in preparation for… major orthopedic surgery. I have great confidence in her.
