Dr. Gina Marie Clark, MD

I was feeling a lot of grief & anxiety after my dog and good friend died. From the moment I walked into the room I felt attacked my Dr. Clark. NO warmth or understanding at all. She did not listen she only barked orders.

This a a very rude, person. Meanest Dr I have ever seen. She lies... her care is real all about herself.

It is not an exaggeration to say that Dr. Clark and her team at KP saved my life during the worst episode of anxiety I ever experienced. She may not be "soft and cuddly" or tell you everything you want to hear, but she told me what I NEEDED to hear, been there for me when I had a question or concern and acted as an advocate for me. And for this, I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Clark helped me with my addiction, the most important thing in my life. She listened and never judged, just supported me in the hardest thing I've done.

Gina Clark should not be working with the public or in medicine. I have never had such an unprofessional, bizarre and disconcerting experience with a doctor in my life. Firstly, she is half an hour late and then within 10 minutes of our initial meeting she throws out an absurd diagnosis (with no relevant information or history to indicate) then determines that she won't prescribe any medications because medicine has nothing to offer someone like me (depressed?) and adds that most psychiatrists are just "pill pushers." Why is this woman in psychiatry if she is anti-psychiatric medicine? The remainder of the session included Gina Clark going into a self aggrandizing trip, harping on the sex trade, her brilliant service in Africa, her distain for man-children and outright complaining about her patients. This woman should be fired.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Clark. I saw her two years ago with low-dose, situational anxiety. More recently, I circled back because my focus and attention were becoming catastrophic. I have always had issues focusing but I was able to get by because my work wasn't incredibly demanding. But then I had to start studying for an important test and I was horrified at my ability to focus. My mind would wonder and I couldn't focus long enough to break down even the simplest of problems. I reached out to her asking to be evaluated and instead of asking more questions about my symptoms and the situation, she immediately responded that I did not have anything similar to ADHD and told me it was most likely my anxiety. I have never felt so defeated or judged by a doctor. She is not a listener. She assumes you are out to get addictive medication and abuse it. I'm beyond disapointed.

I want to give a "shout out" to Dr. Clark and thank her for being a psychiatrist, one of the hardest specialties in today's medical environment. I specialized in psychiatric nursing most of my career and know how difficult it is to receive positive reviews from our patients. They mean well but often are incapable of sharing their positive experiences. I would actually frame my awesome reviews, they were so rare. So lets give our psychiatrists a break and let them know how much they are needed and how grateful we are, to have them working for and with us! Constance Nadolny RN

This woman will be the death of many: Mark. My. Words. You have been warned.

If you are looking for an effective, empathetic psychiatrist, Gina Marie Clark is not the one to go to. Gina M Clark is rude, judgemental, dismissive, and on top of it all, completely ineffectual as a doctor. She serves as a roadblock and obstacle in the Kaiser system. I was assigned to Clark after seeing a psychologist at Kaiser, so that I could discuss an anti-anxiety medication I had been prescribed when I was outside of the Kaiser system. That first meeting, I sat in the waiting room for over 30 minutes. When I asked staff if Gina forgot about our appointment, she finally came out and said first time meetings took her longer to prepare for. I let that slide for the time being, but when the meeting started, it got no better. I had been taking a low dose of alprazolam on an as needed basis to treat serious episodes of anxiety. My Rx record shows no pattern of abuse. She immediately insinuated I was a drug seeker and told me she would have to take me off of the medication, the only… thing of countless medications that's worked for my anxiety. She printed out 20 pages on how alprazolam caused dementia later in life and told me scare stories of people that were addicted to huge doses of benzodiazapines and that I should not become them. I left that meeting having accomplished nothing and instead feeling shamed and unsupported. Gina M Clark came up again when I wanted to be evaluated and treated for the ADHD that has followed me all of my life. Kaiser doesn't make it easy for you to reach a specialist-- a psychiatrist but when I finally reached the department at the French campus and was told I would be given a call back, I didn't receive a call back, but rather a return message in my account from Gina M Clark that left the worst taste in my mouth. In it, Gina accused me of seeking controlled substances Ritalin and Adderall and self righteously stated that she would never fill those prescriptions as a matter of principle. She brought up the fact that I had a prescription for low dose Xanax (the one she wasn't able to force me off of) which I refill once in 4-5 months as an example of my inability to be trusted. She then dismissed me and said I'd have to try again by calling the department number that kept putting me on hold, to reach her. At this point I was like ?????. I was reaching out to her for help with my ADHD and would have been happy with an SNRI like Strattera, as long as I could live a functional and happy life again. The accusations and judgement from Gina were completely beyond the pale, and in the end I received no help. It was an unpleasant experience all the way down and today, I am still no better than before seeing her. If you are still reading this, I implore that you do not see her. If you are assigned to her, call and ask to switch psychiatrists. If she's treated you like subhuman krudd too, write those reviews so that Kaiser knows who they have in their employment and who is wasting their salary dollars. This was the worst Doc experience I have ever had. Very rude, judgmental, mean spirited and a very poor listener. Save yourself your time and avoid the harm!
