Dr. Gina Gualandi Kessler, DDS

DR. Gina KESSLER Dr. Gina Kessler is “the local orthodontist” serving the Stapleton and surrounding communities. Every day, she brings to her work a gentle manner, upbeat personality and genuine interest in caring for others. Mother of three, no one understands the emotional, physical and financial strains that orthodontia can put on family life better than Kessler. But she also sees the lifetime of value in having a spectacular smile, both in the way that it looks and in functionality. Her interest in dentistry developed after she spent three years in braces as a teen. Emerging with more than just straight and beautiful teeth, her new mouth inspired her to smile more often and feel happier. From there she took notice the reciprocated smiles and began to wonder how she could help others with orthodontics. As family focused as Kessler is, it’s only natural that her community involvement directly relates to her three children. A Girl Scout until her sophomore year in high school, …she still feels strongly that the organization provided her with the tools that make her who she is today. With that inspiration in mind, she brought the Girl Scouts to daughter Abbey’s school and has been a troop leader there for the past five years. Kessler is also actively involved in the Parent Association of Logan School (PALS), where she has sat on numerous committees and helped raise money for the school’s various programs. Prior to that, she was on the parent committee at the preschool her children attended. Over the years, Kessler has spoken on a variety of topics at different CDA, ADA and WDA events including how to balance a career and family life as well as successfully juggling a business partnership with a spouse. Along with husband Brett she has been a participant in a monthly interdisciplinary study group with other local dentists to discuss cases and support one another in recommendations for treatment. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. She served a one-year residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, and following that, she was accepted into the University of Michigan’s Masters Program in Orthodontics. Today, Kessler divides her time between the practice and her main career as full time Mom to Abbey, Max, Sydney and Riley. In the precious few spare moments when she is not focused on her whole-health approach to orthodontics, she runs, works out and she recently earned her Black Belt in Te Da Kuen Do. “Dr. Gina, thank you for making my smile so beautiful!” –McGlynn N.
