She's caring and down to earth, gives lots of details and attention. She explained all of the details of my hernia issue and helped me get a referral to a specialist.

I was referred to Dr. Merritt because I had a nodule in my lung. She took all the time needed to explain the possibilities and answer my question on the route to diagnosis. She arranged for and performed diagnostic testing in a timely manner. Ultimately I was referred to a thoracic surgeon for the surgical removal of my lung cancer. Dr. Merrit facilitated that referral, which was difficult becuase it was around the holidays, and stayed in touch through my treatment and recovery. A year later I had a new nodule which turned out to be infectious (instead of a recurrent cancer that we feared) and again Dr. Merritt went out of her way to facilitate and coordinate my care. I think she is one of the BEST and MOST CARING physicians that I have ever known....and as a retired nurse I have known lots of doctors!
