Dr. Gina Ann Quaid, MD

This is the most personable and friendly doctor I have ever seen. She took time to listen and share her own personal experience about quitting smoking. She was awesome, I wish I needed surgery.

My mother was scheduled for surgery rather mild. Doctor had been told of her sensitivity to general anesthesia and narcotic pain meds. She had a severe reaction after surgery, when being monitored was given the same pain med AGAIN!! Not on her chart to avoid these meds. Not to mention never proactively looked at pain med options that would not have effected her. She had a history of two bowel surgeries as well, which the doctor was well aware. After being admitted to emergency just one day after surgery because of excessive vomiting 2 days later “Just met with the hospitalist and moms surgeon. In error they did not remove narcotic painkillers from mom‘s chart and she was administered duiladan last night. This re-triggered the original issue and shut mom’s got down (condition called ileus) which she was admitted to emergency for- oShe is again nauseous and throwing up. The narcotics have now been taken off her chart and she will only be given IV Tylenol. She is also being given an… anti-nausea med intravenously but There’s not much outside that, that can be done at this point” for a woman with a heart condition her pre op and care should have been handled far better. She is elderly and conditions could have been grave. Still not out of the woods.
