Dr. Gina Christine Schell, DO

Dr. Schell is the best Dr. I have ever seen, she tells it like it is and truly cares about her patients. I would (and have) recommended her to others. Thank you Dr. Schell for being you!

Wonderful physician and person. I believe she saved my life last year when the surgeon pretty much gave up. She was the one who interceded with the surgeon on my behalf. If it weren't for her, my children wouldn't have a mother this year. All I can say is God bless her and her staff.

Dr. Schell has been the best doctor I have had. She spends time with me and probes for information I might not have thought pertinent. She has a great bedside manner. I am thankful to have her as my primary physician.

I cannot recommend Dr. Gina Schell at Saint Anthonys Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She's thorough once you get in to see her. But, getting in to see her was a problem for me. For a lung infection, I was told there was a three-week wait (I ended up getting antibiotics from a Walgreens Take Care Clinic); when I injured my foot, I was told to not to even bother trying to make an appointment. I'd always had doctors who set aside emergency appointments and even administered their own flu shots, so this was new to me. But, in the end, I didnt have to worry about dealing with Dr. Gina Schells overly-packed schedule for too longwhen I came in for my annual physical (wisely made a year in advance), the staff mistook me for a different patient whod evidently yelled at a receptionist about not being able to get an appointment (no surprise there), and Dr. Gina Schell had her office manager kick me out and bar me from ever returning. I was shocked and stunned! I didnt even call on the day… in questionand had proofbut they never let me defend myself and Dr. Gina Schell dropped me as a patient just like that! I've never encountered such unprofessional behavior by a health care provider before. Based on my experiences with Dr. Gina Schell and her staff, I cannot give a positive recommendation. But, I am happy to report that my new doctor does set aside emergency appointments and has no problem fitting patients in within a day or two of their call.

Dr. Schell is an awesome M.D., D.O. She really cares about your health and it shows. Very comprehensive, engages you to feel in control of your overall health plan, works EXTREMELY well to explain your roadmap to health and motivates you and asks you for your buy in to the method/mode of treatment. Really exemplary bedside manner, you just can't do better, so my advice is not to even try. Just call and make the appt. She is outstanding in every aspect of care, listening, explaining, assuring, up to date with latest treatments and gives you her honest opinion. I think she treats you just like she would treat a member of her family - and it shows. GO TO THE PHONE AND MAKE THE CALL; SHE IS A GREAT PHYSICIAN AND I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW WELL SHE TREATS PATIENTS. THIS HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE.
