I saw this doctor for the first time yesterday. It was a pleasure and relief to be in the presence of a doctor that actually listened and took the time to go over your complete medical history. I miss I had met this doctor years ago. Her bedside manner and warm personality was excellent. I have been all NYC seeking a doctor as such. I wish all NYC doctors were like her. I walked away feeling for the fist time in a long time at medical peace.

Doesn't actually talk to you but at you, has no patience and rude to you and co workers without regard. At one point was too busy on the phone to make eye contact.

Expect AT LEAST an hour wait past your original appointment time. After waiting THREE MONTHS to even get an appointment, I had to leave without seeing her because I waited an hour past my appointment time because I had another appointment.

I love Dr. Gillespie and have been her patient for over 10 years. She is not only an incredible physician but a fantastic and humane woman. The clinic where she resides is not the best read on her as a physician.

This place was exceptionally rude to a family member. We have excellent insurance coverage and the office lady was rude to my family and my insurance agent. She actually hung up on my agent as she was telling her yes indeed we were covered. the Doctor was very nice but if you meet a lady name Aisha--beware.....

I had a great experience with Dr. Gillespie, who I went to to get an IUD. This is a clinic whose mission is to serve low income patients. As such, it is not as shiny and punctual as many private practices. My first two appointments were punctual, but the third was an hour late due to a man with emergency illness that the staff attended to early in the day, which threw the schedule off. If you can look past those superficial (though inconvenient) aspects, then Dr. Gillespie is a great doctor. She is thorough in discussing issues and if she doesn't know the answer to a question, she will find it. This is the hallmark of a great intellectual - to admit the limits of knowledge and research the answer. The clinic has a secure online communications platform so you can easily ask a follow-up question and the doctor will answer it promptly (not immediately, of course, as she is seeing other patients). Her gentle bedside manner made the IUD insertion was less painful then a pap smear I received… by another particularly rough doctor. I visited many doctors in search of one who would discuss my health with me in a clear and informative manner, and I finally found that in Dr. Gillespie. I would rather wait an hour in a chaotic waiting room to see a knowledgeable and forthright doctor then be seen promptly by any of the other doctors I tried before.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! left shaking, holding half naked infant son, angry and shocked. Still not seen an hour after scheduled appointment time. When inquiring about the wait, was told rudely that there were still two people ahead of me and that no, they couldn't say when I'd be seen. When I expressed that that was upsetting, nurse crossed her arms aggressively and refused to treat my son. Dr Gillespie met my complaints about rude behavior with apathy and subtle insults. Two other women in the waiting room were also furious about the rude treatment by staff! Aweful aweful never seen anything like it!

Dr. Gillespie is a great all around doctor. Actually, nearly every doctor and nurse I've had at the walk in clinic there has been very kind and concerned and listens very carefully to you.
