Dr. Ginger Rae Ruddy, MD

I have a horror story with Dr Ginger Ruddy at PAC. Not only she billed me for two visits in the same day(30 min app)when I was clearly told it’s covered under my insurance, but she made sure to put me down by telling me that if I feel depressed, a state agency can take care of my new born for two weeks until I’d feel better ?? This happened 4 years ago so basically, she gave me no choice to treat my post partum depression out of fear that my baby would be taken away. I was kind of new in US so I didn’t know exactly what’s the law and how I can get help and support. I had to deal with it quietly for long time. She also told me she can help me to have a breast reduction surgery. To me, a new mom breastfeeding her baby! And lastly, she asked me if I want the flu shot, and when I refused, she angrily told me that I am the reason other people get sick and that next time I come to the clinic I should wear a mask before entering( I wasn’t sick or anything). So she scared me someone could… take my baby away if I seek help, she made me feel that I am ugly and I need a change, and she made me feel guilty for something I didn’t need to. I already had a lot on my plate. She charged me almost $900 for that appointment saying that she completed a wellness appointment and a diagnostic one(where she gave me some nutrition advice). All calls made and letter written were useless. They told me that no matter what I was told over the phone regarding them accepting my insurance, I should have checked with my insurance prior my appointment ?? And also, nor the doctor , neither the staff apparently need to tell me she will put two visits in one and charge me for both. Kind of loooong rant , but yeah, I do believe she did it to me on purpose and such people should not be allowed to provide medical services. I am with Eastside Natural Medicine now and I am happy with them.
