I received a bill from Cumberland Imaging after I had surgery in Cookeville Regional Hospital. The bill indicated Humana had paid Cumberland Imaging, but that a remaining balance of $33 remained. I mailed a copy of the Humana EOB showing it had paid Cumberland Imaging and my portion owed was zero. A few weeks later I called the automated number provided by Cumberland Imaging to confirm it had corrected its error; my balance was zero. This morning I received an automated call from Cumberland Imaging's billing representative stating I was being turned over to a collection agency. I have tried to call both phone numbers provided and they remain busy. I am unable to access the web site because I do not use Windows. If Cumberland Imaging is going to threaten you with collections for a bill you do not owe, it should at least be available by phone to assist you. I have used Premiere Imaging before and have never had a problem with billing. Of course, I had no choice since I was in… the hospital and they supplied the provider. So, my advice is to use anyone but Cumberland Imaging, if you can.

I used their service when having a biopsy done. The Dr. I worked with from this group was great, however I only ever got ONE bill from their billing company. Several weeks later, after I had paid some on my bill I received a AUTOMATED phone call telling me that my account was overdue and that I was being turned over to a collection agency. I'm rarely ever late on a bill and had not received any other correspondence from this group. After calling the number left on my phone I had to wait until the morning to actually talk to a real person. This person looked up my account and confirmed that I owed a certain amount. I inquired about why I had not received any other bills from this group. This person then said that I just needed to pay the bill and they could take the information over the phone. I refused to give my personal financial information over the phone and informed them that a physical bill stating the total due would be needed. She then informed me she would put one in the… mail that day. I received my bill today, in a single envelope, with no return envelope included. It's a printed piece of paper and while it has my account information on it, it looks more like a records statement than an INVOICE. After digging for an envelope I finally have this bill ready to send back in but am NOT impressed with this billing company. If you have any dealings with this group, PLEASE BE AWARE you will ONLY GET ONE BILL> YOU will have to follow up with them if you are making PAYMENTS, because you will not be contacted until they are about to turn you over to a collection agency.
