Dr. Gino Renato Sessa, MD

I have been going to Dr. Sessa for several years. Excellent pain management treatment.

I have been a patient of his and was being treated for lower back and hip pain. He prescribed some paid meds which were working for a while. Then I went to Florida for a month and was in excruciating pain. I called him 6 different times, leaving messages each time for him to please call me with stronger meds until I returned home. Not once did he return any of my calls with a plea to help.

Dr. Sessa has been quick, exact and helpful in working towards a resolution to my issues. He and the staff are very kind.

Dr Sessa is one of my favorite doctors. He explains my options so that I can make a decision as to how aggressive I want to go. Dr Sessa is also very pleasant and makes me feel comfortable, he also smiles which is something, if you think about it, not very many doctors do. I've been treated by Dr. Sessa for several years now for various ailments, e.g., knee, elbow and back and I every confidence in him. I get results when he treats me. It is also worth mentioning that his staff at LMT is very friendly, extremely competent and very helpful; they go the extra mile to work with my insurance company.

Dr. Sessa found the root cause of my problem when 5 other doctors couldn't. He called me at home with the diagnosis and answered all of my questions at the next visit. Most thorough doctor I have had in the last four years.

I dont know what all these negative people are talking about. I have had nothing but great experience with this office and Dr Sessa. He did take his time with the examination and took the time to explain things in laymans terms. I did not feel rushed in any way and was very kind and compassionate. He called me personally a few weeks later to check up on me. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone who needs a PM&R physician.

Overall I do not recommend becoming a patient of this facility. The Doctors seem ok, which is still questionable... The staff is the major issue, in my humble opinion. They are not interested in providing a good experience nor are they interested in aiding to your individual needs. Everyone is typically in a bad mood and not pleasant to work with. I was a patient of LMT Royal Oak for over 4 months and had constant problems in receiving the care I deserved. I recommend looking elsewhere in your effort to seek the care you deserve. Could not change appointment without going through insurance company. Could not get a copy of doctor's summary/diagnosis, have to request it from my insurance company. Waiting room needed cleaning. Nurse very professional and helpful with questions after doctor left exam room. I had to fill out a medical history form that he didn't even look at. I was sent to see doctor by insurance company for whiplash due to auto accident. This is not a doctor I would recommend. He was arrogant, brusque and demeaning of the team of doctors that have been treating me over the past six months. I am 60% deaf and he would not allow my husband in exam room to help me hear, understand and answer questions correctly. The exam was inadequate compared to other doctors I have seen. This experience has made me wary of the doctors that insurance companies send you to. A valid diagnosis cannot be made based on a 30 minute consultation. I feel that he had a preconceived diagnosis before he did the… actual exam.

I am nothing but happy with my visits with doctor Sessa. He was an amazing doctor and knew exactly what was wrong with me right away. I'm so glad I saw him and would reccomend him to anyone.
