Dr. Giridhar Rao Veerula, MD

This office has a horrific phone system and etiquette!! I called this office to assist my sister in law with follow up while she couldn’t because her child was incessantly crying. I was transferred to a “Nurse” which ended up being a voicemail with absolutely zero greeting. I had to hang up, call back and ask to be connected to a nurse, not a voicemail with no greeting. The receptionist (who doesn’t seem to have appropriate customer service skills) indicated that the Nurse would place a call back to my sister in law due to my niece (an infant) attending an appt for a procedure with the physician and a fever developing the very next day. Albeit risk of infection is communicated before any procedure, this office would not follow up with a simple call back to address this in any way. If there are procedures taking place at this office, there should be open appointments for the following few days to ensure any possible infection is promptly followed up on. Instead, my sister in law had to… bring her infant to the emergency room and risk exposure to other illnesses while sitting in a busy waiting room.

We stopped going to the Pediatrician 2 years ago when our Parkview Ped yet again wanted to refer us to a specialist. My children are all thin (my husband and I are too) and even though they were healthy and growing, he wanted to refer my youngest to a specialist because she “wasn’t high enough on the charts”. So, since then I have been in search of a Dr. who listens and allows freedom of choice with vaccinations. Dr. Veerula does both! Our first visit was far better than any I had with our previous Pediatrician. He listened and took great care of my children. I also wanted a Dr. that works more with integrative medicine than antibiotics. Dr. Veerula does just that! I’m thankful for a Dr. like him in the Ft. Wayne area!

Does it take a long time In waiting area yes. But that is only because so many people go to him and he values each child. So in my opinion it's worth the wait.

I am very impressed overall with Dr. Veerula!

Not sure how you can claim to be a medical doctor and not believe in vaccinating!
