Dr. Girma Tibitu Assefa, MD

This doctor treated me for a rash. He performed a swab that was very painful, causing it to drain. When I asked for a tissue to wipe it, he insisted it wasn’t draining and continued to dismiss my other concerns. He asked several questions multiple times, until I finally didn’t answer. He didn’t even notice. Very obliviously not listening. When a prescription he called in turned out to be over $2,000 the pharmacist requested that he switch it to a smaller tube so my insurance would cover it. His nurse denied the request without reviewing it with the doctor. The pharmacist told me this was a routine switch and that she had never had the request denied. She urged me to call the doctor back. I will never return to visit this doctor again. It’s worth the extra travel and inconvenience care elsewhere in order to get proper care.
