Dr. Glen Kee Lau, MD

Dr Lau and his staff were marvelous. Very friendly and welcoming. The consultation and preparation before my procedure was thorough and reassuring. Dr Lau took the time to walk me through each step and answered all my questions. He was meticulous and I am so happy with the results.

I visited Dr. Lau's office for a consultation about an injury over my left eyebrow that left a deep scar. What I believed to be a simple consultation has become a horrible experience. I was escorted into an examination room and was immediately seen by Dr. Lau. However, he said about three words to me, looked at my scar, wrote something down on the charts and started to walk out of the room. I prompted him with questions and was met with silence and a statement about his office getting back with me. It's been three months now and I still haven't heard a word from Dr. Lau. I have attempted to contact his office on numerous occasions and was brushed off by the staff. On one attempt, a staff member stated Dr. Lau is very busy and she assured me I would be put on the top of his "priority list". After several weeks, I again contacted the Dr. Lau's office and was met rudely by a staff member who stated my report would be completed today and hung up. Needless to say, I have not heard… back. I could have chosen to get a consultation with many qualified plastic surgeons in the area and was referred to Dr. Lau's office. I wish I would have gone somewhere else as the lack of communication, rude staff, and overall unprofessionalism of my experience will leave me "scarred" about my choice to pick Dr. Lau.

I did have a very complicated procedure done and he did do a small "secondary" procedure at the same time for no extra cost.However, I am extremely unimpressed with the final results, several years after the fact.The original procedure he did looks very bad and I've consulted with a second surgeon who has given the opinion that it simply cannot be improved by any reliable procedure. (He removed too much fat during a lipo procedure and once it's gone, you can't get it back). In other words, that part I'm stuck with. I got a quote on correcting the horrific results of the secondary procedure, (another $7,000 + all told), which I will probably do with this other doctor.In hindsight, I should have realized from the VERY brief consultation he gave that he was not a good listener and was not interested in giving a deep, honest assessment of my situation. He also downplayed the procedure and its after-effects, and I did NOT expect it to be like getting a manicure, but I do feel that he… treated it lightly in view of the fact that any surgery is a serious undertaking.

I was referred by a friend who is one of his nurses for a laser removal of age spots on my face. During the first consultation, Dr, Lau mentioned no riskes of the surgery, and chatted with me about matters unrelated to this surgery. There is no warning on side-effects, pain or riskes of darkening of age spots after surgery. When I went to the surgery, it was so painful, I was in shock. The nurse(who is not my friend) told me,"what do you expect?" After the procedure, the sugery sites were red, swollen and in great pain for five days. Then the treated spots turned dark brown, and much larger than the original spots. Three weeks after surgery, I went back for follow up. Dr. Lau saw me for less than a couple of minutes, and told me to apply bleaching cream on the spots. After two months of applying bleaching cream, the spots are still brown,large and very visible. I went back to him, and he told me"there is nothing I can do for you, you have too much pigments." He claimed he warned me… of the riskes of spots turning dark, which he absolutely did not! I plan to consult another plastic surgeon,since I find him absolutely not trustworthy and totally uncaring.

This fellow is the master. If you need plastics work - he's your guy.

I have been with Dr. Lau personally on several occasions where he did a variety of procedures including removing moles, laser cherry angiomas, repaired my torn ear lobes and lasered some broken capillaries. I am a licensed esthtetician and not only is he my personal physician but I have referred dozens of my clients to him over the last 12 years. His office is professional and his bedside manner is friendly. He takes his time with all of his patients which is great when considering any invasive procedure.

He did surgery on both my left and right hand. It went very bad, In more pain now than before.The Numbness & pain is non stop. He brushed it off as if it will correct itself. After 2yrs no change..

Did not have a good experience. My procedure did not go as promised and in my opinion, Dr Lau felt that the excessive burning due to a laser lipo procedure (on my face) was reasonable and a one year healing time was not a big deal. unfortunate
