Dr. Glen Lee Nadel, MD

I have had two allergists treat my allergies and asthma in the recent past. With this basis of comparison, and with good reason, I feel that Dr. Nadel is the best of the best. Dr. Nadel not only listens carefully but he's also able and willing to apply his exhaustive medical knowledge to effectively treat a condition. I am grateful to have found Dr. Nadel and his staff, especially Crystal and Jacky, who are also exceptionally caring and prompt. They all really go the extra mile and, in my case, are life-savers. to state in closing that I'm grateful to be in Dr. Nadel's care for my allergies and asthma is a huge understatement; he is the doctors' doctor when it comes to treatment for asthma and allergies.

I would highly NOT recommend Dr. Nadel! My daughter was seen by Dr. Nadel because we thought she may have had a reaction to walnuts in a salad she ate. She has seen Dr. Nadel in the past and know she is allergic to pollen and some fruits (apples, peaches and cherries). Dr. Nadel did a skin test on her for nuts, and it turned out she tested positive to almonds and hazelnuts. Even though she tested negative to walnuts and other nuts, he told her she could never eat any nuts again (except peanuts) and that she had to carry an EpiPen. I told him she has eaten nuts her whole life and has never had a reaction. Regardless, he said he did not want her to eat nuts for the rest of her life!! Since her diagnosis, my daughter has experienced sever anxiety and checks every label before she eats anything. She was terrified that she might have to use the EpiPen. It has changed her life and our family drastically and caused her a lot iof stress. After speaking to her pediatrician, we felt… it was very important to get another opinion and had her see by another allergist. That allergist was very surprised that Dr. Nadel had not performed a good challenge. He also explained to me that if a child tests positive for pollen, then they can test positive for almonds and hazelnuts (it's called Oral Allergy Syndrome). He did not feel she was allergic to nuts and wanted to confirm this by running some bloodwork and having her do a food challenge. This doctor was very thorough! He ran the bloodwork and felt confident that she was not allergic to nuts. He told her she could eat all nuts except almonds and hazelnuts until we did the food challenge. My daughter still would not eat nuts, she was too scared because of what Dr. Nadel said to her!! We knew at that point that it was crucial to do the food challenge. We had to prove to her that she was not allergic to nut and that Dr. Nadel was wrong!! We spent 3-4 hours in the doctor's office and had her eats almonds, almond butter, and Nutella. My daughter had absolutely NO reaction to any of the food she ate. This confirmed that Dr. Nadel was absolutely wrong!! I'm very angry that he put my daughter through so much!!! I am so thankful that I decided to get another opinion, otherwise she could be living with this terrible allergy for the rest of her life!!

Wonderful allergist who spends time and explains all thoroughly. He is very knowledgeable in his field. His bedside mannerism is awesome, as well as his staff. He treats the problems with accuracy and with sensibility. Love, love him!
