Excellent. Best in his field. Great Humanitarian!!!

We didn't feel that the DR and his team were thorough enough in reviewing our daughters case. At the appointment to discuss the tests our daughter had undergone we were informed that the data had still not been analyzed. Beyond the annoyance and expense of a wasted appointment, the doctor was not able to coherently describe the potential causes based upon the symptoms she was experiencing (some of which were quite pronounced and alarming to teachers/parents) and explain what findings would provide a diagnosis. In the end this is a DYI practice where you have to call for test results, follow-up on discussions to keep all of the information moving forward and push for careful examination.

I've read the reviews and have to say how scary this is. I'm no stranger to seeing doctors on behalf of a handicap child and have on more than one occasion been terribly disappointed with the doctors lack of commitment and follow up whenever a medication issue did arise. And they did as this child has several handicaps and sensitivities that require a caring and thorough doctor and staff. It's very disheartening.

If you like to be completely ignored by your doctor then Dr. Castaneda is the right doctor for you. He prescribed my daughter a medication that she was not responding to and that was giving her a lot of bad side effects. As instructed I called his office to report it. I called 4 separate times and was ensured by the office staff that he was getting the messages. He returned zero of my phone calls! I ended up calling my pharmacist and finding out the proper way to wean her off of the medication. If he is too busy to respond to his patients then what good is he? I would never recommend him to anyone. I would have given zero stars if that was an option.

The doctor is the only decent thing about this visid. The phone calls did not get returned the front desk is very nasty. There's a nurse that acts like she hates everyone. The wait time is ridiculous and no one really cares about your child. It's the worst.

HORRIBLE technician named John who performed EEG on my 3 year old. Very child unfriendly individual, threatening, gruff and didn't care at all about my son's fears of the procedure. I complained to the office manager who was chilly and unsympathetic. I wrote a letter to Dr. Castanada indicating I wanted to speak to him about our experience and received zero follow-up. The last straw was when we were referred to another doctor within their practice and the receptionist called less than 24 hours before our appt to tell us we would need a referral. Our pediatrician's office needs at least 72 hours and then the receptionist told us our only option was to pay the several hundred dollar office visit charge and hope we would be reimbursed. This was after waiting 3 months for the appt and driving 1.5 hours to get there. Unprofessional, uncaring, unimpressive. Go someplace else, especially if you have a young child!
