A general practice residency is an optional 5th year of dental education. Such a program is hospital based and allows a resident to gain experience in both medicine and dentistry. Residencies allow for …additional training in sedation and hospital dentistry including treatment in the Operating room.
Conscious Sedation Certificate:
The Conscious Sedation Certificate is a prerequisite to obtaining a Florida Anesthesia Permit. Training involves 60 hours of didactic sedation courses and the performance of over 20 hands-on cases to demonstrate competency. Dr. Nguyen has been provided both Oral and IV sedation with general dentistry since 2005.

Dr. Forhan has 2 children and currently resides in the Orange Park area. His hobbies include tennis, scuba diving and whitewater kayaking.
