Dr. Glenn Laurence Levine, MD

I was not told accurate information about my procedures. I had to have an upper and lower endoscopy. I was told I would be asleep for this. What he should of done was explain deep sedation, which is not the same as being put to sleep. My body was nonresponsive, I couldn't talk but I knew what was happening. I felt the endoscope in my throat and chest, I remember the pain, I remember being scared. Dr. Lavine also mocked me saying "oh come on, it's just a colonoscopy". I have had a lot of medical trauma in my life, stemming from a childhood illness. I suffer from severe medical anxiety. Dr. Lavine assured Me I would be given something to help me relax. My procedure was pushed back almost four hours and still they would not give me anything. It was a terrible experience and has only caused me more trauma.
