Dr. Glenn Kellis Mcclaugherty, MD

Dr. McClaugherty is an antagonizing, unprofessional jerk who enjoys riling his clients up, just to deny them the services and help they come seeking. He mumbles out corrections while you try to speak to him, interrupting constantly, and he acts like some god looking down his nose at you. He is not worth the time, even if he's the only doctor available. He'll just make you angry and upset, and then tell you you're the problem and to leave. You'll be looking for a doctor all over again anyway. Skip a step and avoid this one.

This man saved my life. He had me drop bad habits and put so much thought and care into our time together. I could go on for a short essay on why he is as good as he is. Would like to squash bad reviews because this man does not give out controlled substances. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a waiting room for a behavioral health appointment and another patient leaves screaming their heads off. If you are in anyway seeking, you will not find it here. However if you want true quality of life I suggest you see this doctor. Finding the right meds and others in your care team can take time. This was the ONLY educated psychiatrist who was able to pull me from the darkness back into a place of peace. Trust in this man, ~Keelin

I've been a patient of Dr. Mcclaugherty's for over a year now. I was skeptical, and kind of irritated, the first visit with him. But he knew what he was doing that first visit. He immediately felt that the antidepressants were not working for me because my bipolar type II was misdiagnosed. The first medication he ever prescribed immediately worked, and continued to work for the next year. He's helped me with my ups and downs. Definitely more helpful then my previous doctor and better than inpatient care I've received. He works right along with my therapist; they have great communication. Smart. Genuine. Helpful.

Wasted 3 days off work dealing with him and his staff. Completely does not listen to you or your issues, and is horribly closed minded. You spend 2 days telling his staff your life and experiences only for him to"quiz' you on it on the 3rd day. No matter what you say, this man's mind is already made up before you walked in. Staff has no issues with being over a hour wait before seeing you, and then they don't even have common courtesy to apologize. Just do you self a favor and STAY AWAY, your better off.

He is the worst psychiatrist I've seen. I have at least 5 years of a known schizophrenia diagnosis that was first labeled at Shenandoah. At my first and last visit: first I hoped he wouldn't take forever and I missed my job interview because he was 15 minutes late and he blamed it on me as if I should have scheduled later. He asked me very direct questions but I felt like he was mocking me when he kept bringing up smoking weed in the past and not saying why. He didn't empathize with a single thing I said it was as if I was being chided like a deficient school child who was misbehaving by asking questions related to an accurate diagnosis saying I wanted to get better and felt I was doing well. He made me cry then opened the door and said he would not be seeing me again and do see my prior psychiatrist at Eastridge. I am never going back to Shenandoah ever again they can laugh all they want.

Dr Glenn McClaugherty is a blithering idiot who, amazingly enough, somehow made it through Medical School and graduated. This is certainly not to imply that graduating from medical school requires a high level of intelligence, as it obviously doesn't where "Dr." (Even calling him doctor is a joke) McClaugherty is concerned. Of course, there are medical school graduates who possess high levels of intelligence, even to the point of being properly categorized as intellectually gifted, up to and including actual geniuses, from a classical/traditional standpoint, but they are very few and don't have to ardently rely on such intellectual fire in order to pass courses in medical school, and that with high grades. Do yourself a favor and avoid McClaugherty..........he lacks even basic critical thinking ability, and is a stranger to strict Formal logical/analytical thought/reasoning and problem solving requiring the aforesaid cognitive apparatus.
