What I disliked the most is the sarcastic remark he made about me when I came in with so much pain."You might can see if you would open your eye!" Beware if you don't have a copay, because they will overcharge you almost every single visit.You have to pay that day any way,and it will take months,and months to get your money back if you get it at all.They won't even tell you you're being overcharged either.You better look at your EOB.I called at least 4 times in the beginning leaving messages,with no response at all.Finally had to go down there,get up early before work when I was wore out,and have a meeting with the manager,and Stacy from the financial team.They said I would be getting a refund.That was months ago,and I am still waiting.They don't communicate with you,or even try to make you happy.They will blame everything on the insurance company.Dr. Shear promised me during my prolonged visits that he would not charge me for a recheck.I told him I was being overcharged,and couldn't… come back again so soon.He assured me he wouldn't charge that visit.Stacy ignored his instruction,and filed it anyway with the insurance company.She lied,and said she would fix it.She did not.It will probably come out of my refund.I would have never came at all that visit if I knew he was lying about charging me.I am still due a large refund $330.70.I have never experienced this kind of service in my life.The staff does not communicate back,and forth with the doctor.It is like pulling teeth to get any where.I finally had to send both doctors a certified letter about everything,and may have to go to small claims court to get my money back.Nobody should have to go through this.I am still having eye issues,but have an appointment Friday with a new eye doctor.It is not their fault about the eye issues.That is not my complaint.It is the bedside manner ,unconcern,lack of communication,and especially the money part.I charged those visits,and am paying interest on the amount I borrowed.They don't even care.I do want to say that his partner has nothing to do with any of this.He is probably not even aware of what is going on.I did see him a few times and was satisfied.

I should have been tipped off to the problems that exist in the McDonough, GA office when I and everyone in the waiting room overheard two of the back office staff loudly arguing with each other. They were highly unprofessional and extremely petty. Also, the optometrist office---don't waste your money buying glasses from them---they sell you glasses and then after they come in tell you how terrible they are and that they personally hate them. Wish I had known that BEFORE spending almost $300 on glasses that I also hate. My daughter's frames broke not once but twice within a year and Lauren in the office said I could just purchase a brand new frame and they'll put the lenses in. Uh...no. I'm not going to purchase anything from here again. The optometrist office Stacy also promises to call you with updates on when your glasses or contacts come in and they never do. We got strung along for three weeks on my daughter's glasses the first time they broke. To beat it all, my husband… ordered contacts and when they came in, the office staff gave another patient his contacts and sent him home with someone else's. What a mess! Find somewhere else to go.

Dr Shear was very rude, my son took his 4 year old. He was not friendly and did not explian to him what was going on with her eyes. He said she need glasses and one eye is weak. And provided no information.
