Dr. Glenn Kevin Yarbrough, MD

I saw Dr Yarbrough about 5 yrs ago, in which I wad using Prep H improperly when I was teary. It was a trick actresses employ, but it backfired. He was very non judgmental about it, but made it clear that I should never do that again. I was embarrassed, but was happy to take his advice. He has also told me many stories of ways he helps other patients, while constantly using his delightful sense of humor. Personally, I love a doc w/a good sense of humor. And his kindness is always evident. I have no idea how other patients founds him uncaring—I guess they were having a BAD day.?

I hate to review so badly, but this definitely warranted it.. The way this dermatology office is ran is absolutely poor. My gf is on acutane and has now gone about a month in between prescription renewals and that should not happen especially on such a harsh medicine such as acutane. The worst part is that this is the 5 month straight. Every month she calls them continuously to get them to do their job and on average takes over a week to get them to do anything. She should be done with her treatment now but still has 2 more months because the lack of care, execution and professionalism. She has had to follow up continuously to check if they are doing their jobs, in which they promise her they will update her ipledge account right after she leaves the offices and it's usually weeks until they do so... It has become so bad I went to her last appointment with her and the lady said perfectly clear on a Friday afternoon, "I will update this myself before end of day today," it's two… weeks later and we had to pop in the office today to tell them to do their job. If she wasn't 5 months into her acutane with only a couple left (which once again she should be done by now) then we would definitely switch dermatologists... Definitely do not recommend!

I have a pretty rare condition that Dr Yarbrough has diagnosed correctly and his follow up has been outstanding. Best Dermatologist I have even been to.

I have been seeing Dr. Yarbrough for over 10 years. My family has a history of basal cell carcinoma and melanoma. He has done a great job, always made time to answer any and all questions. Appointments are easy to make and never far in the future. His staff is friendly and caring, and follow-up is great - even for minor procedures. Highly recommended - I have referred a number of friends to him.

After going to his office for over 5 years and being treated only by his P.A. Kendall, and told to "wait and give it time" for my adult acne I made an appointment with Dr. Yarbrough in Dec, after being treated in Oct by Kendall again with no results. Apparently I wasn't worth his time ~ he looked at my face, suggested I stop wearing makeup ~ and then sent me to his other office for a more expensive procedure. I am a business consultant in my 40s ~ as if I'm going to give presentations or go to work without any makeup. I gave this office several years of waiting doing what they said using creams/salves, etc. that didn't work ~ and finally in Dec when the Dr. did nothing, I called his office and said I didn't feel I should have to pay AGAIN for the office visit, and that I would not be back. Dr. Yarbrough IMMEDIATELY sent me a letter stating he "would no longer treat me..." due to "non-compliance of our policies..." Excuse me ~ for the record I AM THE ONE WHO PUNTED HIM ~ and HE… WAS THE ONE WHO DID NOT DO HIS JOB. I wasn't going to follow up or do anything else, but after his rude attitude and letter, I am having my attorney file suit (he says we have a good case) for the past 3 years of "non-compliance" of not doing his job; as well as file a complaint with the dermatology governing board.

This doctor sadly does NOT know how to treat people with courtesy and respect!; he makes up lies about people and makes up false accusations about people such as he did to me. I went in a couple weeks ago for a routine exam, and then a few days later I got a letter in the mail saying he is discharging me as a patient. When i inquired as to why and what the meaning of this was; I was told it was because of a failure to follow office policies. And once I found out that it was really about one of his staff making false accusations about me that are not even anywhere close to the truth; I explained my side of the story to him and he said he would get back to me by the end of last week, in which he never did; and now it seems like he and his staff are a bunch of cold blooded LIARS!!! who have nothing better to do than to lie about people!!!. Now, as for the actual treatment; i still have a problem on my arm that needs treatment and thanks to him not giving a crap about other people and only… about himself; I may have to start going to someone else. He does know how to treat people's skin problems and such, but its the way he treats people personally that really rubs me and irks me the wrong way. I will not tolerate being falsely accused of something I know for a fact I did not do. Im not sure that i would want to go to him again even if he came begging to me to come back because of the way I have been falsely accused. That said, overall he does know how to treat problem areas on the skin, and other than 2 people in particular who will go un-named; the rest of the staff is pretty decent to deal with in my opinion.

This is by far, the worst doctor I have ever come into contact with. I did not find him to be a very competent dermatologist, and his bedside manner is awful.Coming from a medical background, I do know what is considered optimal medical care, and this surely is not it! Went in for scalp irritation, didn't bother even examining it. Wrote me for a prescription that I had to pay out of pocket for (promoting office meds). PA is horrible as well, surfed the net while the doc talked to me. Easy to get an appt, which is why I went. Will not be returning for follow-up! Do yourself a favor and wait it out for a good dermatologist.

Went in for 3 different reasons and they gave me medication WITHOUT even looking at or touching the affected areas. I mentioned that I had some areas on my back and chest that I wanted treatment for ... they didn't even ask me to take my shirt off ... they never pulled it to the side ... they never even had contact with me other than shaking my hand. My scalp was irritated ... not once glance (I have a full head of hair). I then went and spent $90 out of pocket for ONE bottle of this shampoo that didn't work. 1-week later I get a bill from their office and now they want me to pay more? The only positve thing I can say is they were very willing to get me in ASAP (now I know why). I'll be they have a lot of turn over with their clients. STAY AWAY!
