Dr. Gloria H Box, MD

Dr. Box and her team do an excellent job both in their office and in surgery. Thanks to her skills I can walk correctly again and the hip pain is gone. I love her bedside manners and the fact she takes time to answer all your questions. If you're having problems go see her before going out of town to see other doctors.

Immediate attention to problem with a quick solution.

I disliked that she did not care enough to a good surgery on my knee. Now my whole leg is debilitated thanks to her bad work. I trip and can't move it . The surgery she completed left it worse than the injury itself. Please do not return with her and if you know of someone who needs to, let them know that their health, their life is priceless. Travel and do research, but find a good doctor. "One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning."

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it had debilitated me to the point of being unable to walk without severe pain. I began seeing Dr. G. Box in 2001 while she was still in Uvalde, Tx...she quickly assessed the issues I was having with mobility and began work on me. My first replacement was my left hip, second replacement was 4 months later on my right hip, third replacement was 4 months later on my left knee, and 3 months later was my right knee. 10 years later she revised my right knee. I have never met a doc & staff so attentive, caring and helpful. Her bedside manners are top knotch. A woman of God and faith, she makes you feel comfortable and at ease during a very stressful event in your life. She recently moved her practice from Del Rio to Eagle Pass. I will be locating her soon for a follow up and possible revision on left hip. I thank God for placing her in my life, for without her, I would not be walking today! You can't go wrong with her as your doc!!!

Dr. Box's office staff is very unhelpful except for her office manager. Until you get her direct phone number, it's difficult to get the care you need. Dr. Box is a genuinely caring person, with a good bedside manner. She did not fix my problem though and I ended up going to another surgeon who did fix it.
