Dr. Gloria Buentello, MD

Gloria Buentello, perhaps if you were a better doctor you wouldn't be so ashamed of your reviews. The pubic deserves to be able to read the enormous amount of negative comments so they can make an informed decision to NOT go to you!

This woman was incredibly unprofessional and rude! Her office phone line is actually just her personal cell phone and she has no staff which is really weird! Also, when I called to make the appointment, she didn’t take any info from me, just asked what my child’s first name was and gave me a time to come then hung up, weird! When I went to pay my co-pay she took cash out of her own purse to give me change…. weird again! Then she started getting down right rude, when she asked if my daughter was missing school for this appointment, we responded that we homeschool and she laughed and said “do you really think you know everything to teach her” followed by condescending laughter, I was in a state of shock on how rude this was to say because it’s none of her business how any family chooses to educate their children (plus I have a degree in child education, so yes, I am qualified)! She refused to listen to me when I was trying to explain my daughters’ symptoms and instead, interrupted,… and said my daughter would need to have a very invasive procedure done, requiring to put her under and getting a biopsy of her stomach. When my husband and I said we would do the least invasive tests first then move on to more invasive, but only if necessary, she did her famous condescending laugh and said in VERY broken English “you won’t get out of it”. Unbelievable! What kind of psychopath would want to subject a child to an unnecessary procedure before exploring other non-invasive options first!?! She is ONLY interested in getting as many appointments and procedures out of you as possible because she is only interested in your money!!!!!! She does not want to help, she does not want to listen, she does not care at all!!!! She wants money, don’t go to this horrible woman, even if you have to drive hours out of your way to see another pediatric gastroenterologist, it will be worth it!!!!!! Needless to say we saw a different qualified doctor and my daughter's issue was solved painlessly and easily, no invasive procedure necessary. Went to several other doctors and no one was able to diagnose my son. She was able to diagnose him in the first visit. So grateful for all her help! She was able to explain in detail the problem and how to prevent it in the future.

Very helpful with my son. Plus she spoke Spanish.

Daughter had to have an upper GI with biopsies performed, we were told we would receive results the following Wednesday or Thursday along with a date for a follow up visit. It's now the FOLLOWING week, I've left 3 messages that have went unanswered and I'm highly upset. I might add that an assessment by this "specialist " was never performed on my child. She never touched her belly or listened to her with a stethoscope. I know better and should have went with my gut instinct.

I have taken my son to this doctor for months. I was grateful that she did complete blood tests and urine analysis; however, other than this, the visits were a waste of time. She just continued to give my son prescriptions for doses of myralax, priobotics, mineral oil, enemas, and suppositories. One time she gave me a prescription and then when we came back, she said oh he shouldn't have that for more than 10 days in a row, well you told me to do it daily, and here we are 2.5 weeks later, and now you tell me that! I was very upset. Everyone wants to say my child just doesn't want to go poop! I know my child and that is not the case! He potty trained in 3 days, he tries to go poop too, but he can't. He either is plugged and cries because he can't go, or we give him all the medication and he has diaherria and can't control when he does go. Frustrating!

This dr was so rude. She made many rude comments about my daughter's weight, even though she is only slightly chubby. She said she should walk home for exercise. She also did not give my child a checkup. We went in several times and she did not touch my child once. All she did was give us medicine to help her have bowel movements. Her primary Dr was very upset about this and recommended us elsewhere.
