Dr. Godwin Onyeike, DO

Dr. Oneyke is a really good doctor. He delivered all 3 of my babies safely with no complications. Black women have a higher mortality rate when it comes to labor and delivery and so I’d say that’s a win in my book! I had a minor issue with the hospital he was affiliated with and he advocated for me and was really gentle in calming me down and he had good bedside manner. He really is thorough when it comes to gynecological health. I’m unsure why he has such low reviews as his office is almost always crowded and filled with appointments and I’ve been going to him for over 15 years.

I have been a patient of Dr. Onyeike, since 2005. I was referred to him at a time when I suffered from fibroids and extreme menstrual bleeding. Dr. Onyeike, was very thorough with my options, and I decided that the best course of action for me would be a hysterectomy. He did my hysterectomy and I recovered excellently. I was so happy with the care I received and I trusted him completely and remained his patient. In 2015 when my daughter found out she was pregnant there was no question that Dr. Onyeike would be her OB/GYN, and again he provided excellent care to my daughter, from birth to delivery. 2019, my daughter is expecting her 2nd baby, and yes again we go to Dr. Onyeike, because not only is he an excellent medical professional, but he is a good moral example of what and how a doctor should perform and uphold their Hippocratic duties.

At about 4 months pregnant and needing to change my OBGYN because me previous OB told me I miscarried, I was referred to Dr. Onyeike. The greatest thing that has ever happened to my child and I. I credit him for saving my prince and making my pregnancy a great experience. He is extremely patient, knowledgeable and kind. He takes his time to explain what’s happening with your body and he acts fast if there’s a problem. I bled during my pregnancy and while the 3 previous doctors I went to Couldn’t figure it out, Dr. Onyeike figured it out on my 2nd or 3rd visit. While in labor my baby pooped in me, most doctors would cut you open at that point but he closely monitored my baby. He told me if at any moment the child was in harms way, he’ll have to give me a C-section. I was able to deliver a healthy boy vaginally. 6months after giving birth I developed a cyst, Dr. Onyeike removed my 20cm cyst and it was virtually pain free. When it comes to Onyeike I don’t go for second… opinions(something I normally do) I trust him and his expertise. I know he’s not going to do unnecessary surgery, I know he’s going to do what’s best for baby and I. He’s a wonderful man and to be honest I love him as an individual. He’s one of the best doctors. It’s bitter sweet writing this review because I don’t want him to have a million patients then I end up having to wait in his office but someone who is pregnant, older like I was and need a great doctor may need to read this... he is it. You will not be disappointed. I wish I knew him during my last pregnancy(it was unsuccessful).

Very good OB for my high risk pregnancy

I don't feel I received a proper check up. Never reviewed procedures with me. Kept calling the office for 3 weeks and finally got a nurse to say it's nothing big. I went in for a GYN exam but instead he checked my eyeballs, made a comment about my tattoo, drew my blood and never called back with my results! I was confused! Ladies ...don't waste your time.

Waited for almost 3 hours to be seen after I Had a scheduled appointment then was the last to be seen for me to be told that their sonogram room is closed , told me to call back to reschedule. Then when I called back for my results twice already for the week the receptionist would say call the next Day and the next day I'm still waiting for results. Dr. Is great but the receptionist is just plain lazy

Dr.Onyeike is a nice doctor but he is very unorganized. I had to call many times for them to make an appointment for my surgery. When they finally did make an appointment they didn't give me any detail as to what time, location in detail. I had to ask so many questions about info that should of been provided for me. The SonoGrapher doesn't have an inviting spirit. She really doesnt make you feel comfortable. I would not recommend this place.
