She’s actually one of the smarter doctors at OAK Children’s hospital but she does not care about brain growth (hc) in neonates. She pricked my daughter so many times that she depleted her iron (that is necessary from brain development in neonates) and tried to tell me that babies don’t need nutrition after week 32. What?!? When I told her that I read plenty of research online on the importance on nutrition in brain growth in the third trimester, she dismissed it. My baby’s head circumference went down drastically after she was purposely starved for six weeks (to prevent sepsis with a central line) and she just called it “molding.” This has probably resulted in intellectual disabilities, etc. but all the neonatologists just look out for each other and just keep the babies alive/stable. They are really good at lying to the caretakers to do the wrong thing as they treat any baby that is difficult as a thing, not a human being.
