Dr. Gopika Myneni, MD

I saw Dr. Myneni for a hysterosalpingogram. It was my first time ever meeting her. She walked into the room and didn't even say hello. She stared right at me and just kept chatting with the tech about life and didn't even acknowledge me. It was awkward. After the procedure she acted as though she didn't want to answer my questions, she just wanted me to talk to my doctor. This made me uncomfortable and thinking that perhaps something could be concerning about the results. When Dr. Myneni left the room I asked the tech for some reassurance that the findings were not out of the ordinary for what they usually see during that procedure. The tech was so sweet and helpful. She also said that though Dr. Myneni is a good doctor, her bedside manner is not. The tech was great and welcoming. If you are looking for a doctor who is engaging and personable, Dr. Myneni might not be the best fit however we aren't going to the doctor to chat over coffee. As long as she knows her stuff I can deal with… the lack of bedside manner this once. Just be prepared to feel invisible when she sees you.

Dr. Myneni's expertise allowed her to find a very small piece of cancer on some tissue in my breast which has now been removed with no cancer anywhere else. Surgeon and other medical personnel were amazed she found this small piece of cancer. I am grateful for her dedication to helping save people's lives.

I was very nervous about needing a biopsy, and the radiation technicians were great. I was pleased with the professionalism of the clinic, but Dr. Myneni seemed very rushed when she was with me and seemed inconvenienced by my nervousness. She was proficient the procedure, just don't expect much conversation or comfort before, during, or after the procedure. She did not call me back with my results, but the same technician that helped with the procedure did, and she was great. All in all, I wouldn't doubt her skills but if you are looking for an engaging physician you may want to shop around.
