Dr. Donaldson and the staff at Morgantown Family Practice do an excellent job at caring for our family. Their MDVIP program has detected early stages of major health concerns that would not normally be recognized this early. If left unaddressed problems would most likely surface in the near future, but recommended lifestyle changes and simple treatment plans have really changed things. Doc is one we can trust to diagnose and refer to a specialist when the need arises. His availability even on off hours has been so helpful to our whole family. Stitches in a familiar office on a Friday evening as opposed to a long wait in a busy ER were perfect for young children on more than one occasion! In the last year we have been thankful for the way Covid19 has been handled. We feel safe at the office and thankful for advice on how to keep ourselves as healthy as possible. Answers to questions as we have navigated health and quarantine questions with work, school and our community in a… year of chaos have been so helpful! We would recommend Dr. Donaldson and Morgantown Family practice to anyone!

Started recently at Dr. Donaldson's practice. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I didn't see Dr. Donaldson, but saw the PA, Jen Fronda, who was professional, friendly, an excellent listener, and very thorough in every area. Hard to find a personal and caring practice like this these days! Highly recommend.

Dr. Donaldson has provided medical care for me and my family for over 20 years. The medical care is outstanding. The office is a safe and caring environment. Dr. Donaldson is professional, quick to care for the needs of his patients (last minute appointments for stitches after a playground incident!), compassionate (went above and beyond when he walked through the terminal illness of a loved one with us), attentive, (the only Dr. I know who is so attentive to give medical advice and assistance even at odd hours and on weekends), and very knowledgeable. We appreciate how proactive he is to encourage healthy living in order to prevent preventable diseases. He does not just put a bandaid on symptoms, but works diligently to provide the best possible lasting and individual health plan. Dr. Donaldson also has the amazing quality of being willing to answer every question, and to take the time to provide thorough research and education when I request it. He has handled the pandemic so… well, providing a safe and caring environment, with an excellent medical science approach. He has continued to care for all of our medical needs without interruption, and provided the care we needed immediately when we were exposed to COVID-19. We are so thankful for Dr. Donaldson.

Dr. Donaldson is not wearing a face-covering of any kind when he treats patients! As a health care provider, he should not be treating patients without safety precautions in place during the pandemic. Not all staff members were wearing masks but were behind a glass window until they slide to talk to you, without wearing a mask. When I questioned him about not wearing a mask he brushed me off with an excuse of not wanting to discuss his own opinion of the mask-wearing requirement. If the physician is not being respectful of the state's face mask order in place and not respectful to his patients and the well being of them, what else does he do that should be questioned? The Medicare patients who are paying the extra VIP concierge fee; in my opinion, he's taking advantage of you. The "wellness" visit is part of Medicare and paid by Medicare every year. How is that 24/7 service working for you VIP patients? Didn't work recently as was referred to seek care elsewhere as office was closing… for weekend.

I would find another doctor, he's not worth going to. He was a good doctor when he was new and looking for patients. But now that he is a big shot and has enough patients, the old patients (the one's that helped him get started) are a nausence. When old patients are in a jam and need help, don't expect to get it from Donaldson.

Most of my tests showed improvement so he was happy and also I was.

Concerned about your health and future health

Caring doctors that take the time to listen. They always make sure you feel that you are the most important person in the office and that you are comfortable with diagnosis and treatment plan before you leave.

It's all about money all of a sudden. HE used to have the best PA's, now he doesn't. Staff are backstabbers, talking about other patients when I was in the office.

I have been with Dr. Gordon Donaldson for about 20 years. He & his staff have been helpful in providing immediate appointment when the need arises. He took on my mother after she moved in with me with no questions asked. I appreciated that more than he will ever know. I especially appreciate the care I get from him and Dee Dee. Thank you both!
