Dr. Gordon Hiroshi Sasaki, MD

Gordon Sasaki was responsible for my hypoxic brain injury. He covered for his clinic O.R. nurse and surgical scrub who gave me to meds that when administered together cause respiratory failure. Sasaki gave me copious amounts of tumescent lidocaine which has epinephrine and other (my charts in all medical offices, dental office and at the hospital read that I am allergic to epinephrine. I became altered in my level of consciousness. Sasaki left me in his clinic O.R. to go to lunch. The record indicates that i was left from 11 am to 115pm. Sasaki resumed the procedure and aborted it at 2pm, but did not call EMS until about 155 pm. The record indicates that sasaki and his staff may have been working from the wrong chart because the record indicates that i am 56 and 160 lbs., i am 63 and 134 lbs on the day of the surgery. My hospital admitting diagnosis was Acute Hypoxic Respiratory failure. According to the Emergency Room notes, Sasaki lied to the emergency room physician… which changed the algorithm of my care and the outcome of my care. Sasaki and his office manager, colleen brandt came to the bedside in ICU/CCU and told me that i did this to myself. I looked at the toxicology report and found Sasaki and Brandt were lying. I looked at the nurses notes and saw the nurse had scribbled and re-wrote her notes. Sasaki refused to let my colleague see me in the clinic O.R. and in the ICU/CCU. Sasaki did not call my next of kin who is an Internal Medicine physician. No one on my record was contacted. My 2 pups at home were left for 2 days in the house without food or water until people were notified that i was missing and began working together to break in the house. A friend of my health clerk at work found me at huntington hospital. Sasakis O.R. nurse could not possibly be experienced as she had no knowledge that with correct placement, urine should be in the foley catheter tube; she had to re-insert it with my directive and assistance. His nurse lies in the record of my demeanor upon arrival to the procedure. His nurse lies about me asking to be heavily medicated. The record indicates that after my admission to the floor from the emergency room, Sasaki returns to the Emergency room and "changes his story". After discharge to home, Sasaki called my Family Medicine mentor from graduate school and slandered me. The mentor called me and suggested that i sue him. I cannot sue him as he is an "expert witness for the courts working with Ernie Algorri, personal injury attorney; Sasakis colleagues are not comfortable speaking out. I have been in neuro rehab at casa colina in speech therapy (aphasia) and for vistibular damage (balance) and am now assigned to therapy in neuro-optometry (convergence). My diagnosis is Encephalopathy secondary to lidocaine toxicity. While in the hospital, i developed an Acute Tubular Necrosis, and an enlarged right atria. I received a $70,000 invoice from Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, CA. This week, i saw a plastic surgeon. He said that the timing of the seizure in the Emergency Room was consistent with the tumescent lidocaine overdose. I have had tumescent lidocaine in the past with Dr. O'Toole where i was completely awake, watched him do the procedure, and went home and watched a movie and danced with happiness that same day. Because of my professional rapport with sasaki, he permitted a video of my procedure. The video was deleted from my cell phone when i became injured. Sasaki and Brandt were more concerned about covering the error than saving my life. When i woke in the ICU/CCU, the nurse said, do you remember anything; you nearly died.

I had continued problems with the dr. Sasaki"s girl friday. I could'nt get answers. It tooks WEEKS to get the estimate, a return call mostly never came, Colleen, his assistant , gave away a surgical date I thought I had, the wait is litterally MONTHS....Horrid experience. I had decided to bail on this place but THEY did it before I could. I got a letter from the doctor claiming he "could not meet my surgical expectations". The reality was I was problematic because I expected a modicum of professionalism......I am unclear about his surgical expertise, but I am clear about his assistant Colleen. Ugggg... There should not be this level of frustration with what should be an awesome and exciting experience. I found another surgeon and the experience thus far is fanstastic!

This place is awesome for botox, fillers, and facials!! For as upscale as Sasaki's office is his prices are very reasonable on both products and services. Also, they don't try to up-sell or pressure you with their products like I've experienced at other places. They have a great variety of skin care products and custom-fit you with what works best for your skin type. I absolutely love their "Intellishade Tinted 45 SPF Moisturizer". It's the best tinted moisturizer I've ever used and the SPF level is great but doesn't leave you with that greasy coated feeling. Barbara is amazing at botox and fillers! She is conservative instead of over the top and will make you look years younger and very natural, without the frozen face effect or duck lips. The best part is she so gentle and soothing during the procedures. She gives you plenty of numbing and special squeeze balls for any stress you may be feeling. I hear they use special needles for the botox that Dr. Sasaki has specially… flown in from Japan. They are thinner so there is no needle pain. It is a night-and-day difference from any other place I have ever been. I love the facials with Kathy O. She uses their red light therapy machine that is the best in the industry. It has really stimulated the collagen growth in my face. She also uses a really effective exfoliating peel and I love how she really takes her time to gently rub away the all the dull, dead surface skin on my face that's left behind during the facial so I don't have a lot of dry, flaky skin for the next week. I always leave there with younger, firmer looking skin. At forty five I look better now than I did 10 years ago! The price for the facials are very competitive and I get far better results at Sasaki's than I ever have any at any other place. You can even do mini facials if you're strapped for cash for half the price and still get awesome results!I Haven't had any procedures with Dr. Sasaki yet but from what I hear from other patients and the staff he is a Plastic surgeon God. I am happy knowing he is there in the future when I need him!

Dr. Sasaki is not good with Chin Implant. Had Chin Implant with Dr. Sasaki very disappointed. Over priced!!!! paid $3800 for a very bad chin implant. I looked horrible and fake. Now have to pay $2000 to remove them. Total close to $6000. Wish I had never gone to him for chin implant.
