Dr. Gordon Anthony Schulz JR., MD

I saw him for a few months. I had breakthroughs with him. He was great at helping me understand my anxiety. Seeing him did help me. I stopped seeing because I didn't feel understood as a young black woman. When I talked about race, the conversation turned heated. I talked to him about that and he apologized. Also he told me a few times that it's cute when I overreact, it bothered me. I told him about it and he apologized. For some reason before I saw him, I'd always get anxious I don't why. He's a great therapist just not good for me.

I saw Dr. Schulz for a few months. He wasn't a bad therapist, just not the best for me. He really helped me understand my anxiety. When I was seeing him it helped me realize that I'm not crazy. He's open and not judgemental, and I appreciate that. I stopped seeing him because I didn't feel heard and understood as a young black woman. When I talked about race, I felt like he didn't understand issues I was facing. For some reason before therapy I would always have anxiety before seeing him. He told me that it was cute when I overreacted. On my last day with him, I told him about how I was feeling about all of that and he apologized. I appreciated that. He's a good therapist. Just not for me.
