Dr. Grace Aldrovandi, MD

Grace M. Aldrovandi, MD., CM, is a physician-scientist with the Division of Infectious Diseases at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and a Professor of Pediatrics and a Professor of Pathology, Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Dr. Aldrovaldi treats and diagnoses Whooping Cough at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is a board certified Los Angeles-based Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist., Dr. Aldrovandi has conducted her research at The Saban Research Institute of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles since 2003. Dr. Aldrovandis research interests include pediatric HIV, the effects of breast milk on child health and infections in immunocompromised children. She has published more than 100 peer review publications and 8 book chapters. She has been a member of multiple National Institutes of Health study sections and lectured throughout the world. She also was invited by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to …serve as a member of the AIDS Immunology and Pathogenesis Study Section of the Center for Scientific Review. The four-year appointment began July 1, 2008 and concluded on June 30, 2012. Dr. Aldrovandi received two bachelors degrees (1979, 1981) and her medical degree (1985) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She completed an internship (1986-1987) and residency (1987-1989) at McGill, as well as a research fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the University of California, Los Angeles (1994-1996).
