Dr. Grace Chen

When my bottom retainer broke off they took 2 months to schedule an appoitment eventually my teeth became crooked and crowded again. When I went in for that appointment they told me that I should have come in earlier and did not acknowledge my phone call. After many appointments, which averaged an hour and a half wait in the lobby, I stopped going due to their excessive and uncomfortable grinding of my teeth. I stopped going after talking to my normal dentist when he noticed that they weren’t even sawed straight but rather at an angle. The only reason I was at that orthodontist was because the orthodontist I started with retired and the second eventually moved. I was very disappointed with Dr. Chen who did not ever seem to really know what she was doing. She also got rid of the staff that was previously there, all very friendly and well trained people with years of experience, for a group of young untrained assistants who hardly new what they were doing. Dr. Chen was always called to… assist despite a very simple task such as placing a wire back into a bracket, which I have easily done myself with pliers and a mirror. This extended the time there even more due to having to wait even longer after getting in to the chair. Also, Dr. Chen could be heard and seen walking around angrily yelling into her phone while people were waiting eventually walking into her private office and slamming the door. Also, she operates multiple offices and so there is very little time to make appointments. This leads to an excess amount of people in the waiting room and altogether what took 30-45 minutes with previous orthodontists took 2-4 HOURS with Dr. Chen
