Dr. Grace Bacsa Gamponia, MD

Am a hard of hearing patient. Regular primary is on maternity leave. Came in to see about a possible ear infection. Was dismissed that it was atopical dermatitis instead. Did not want to listen to history or any concerns have. Notes states "possible hearing loss" without asking if I am actually hard of hearing. Avoid this doctor unless you have an undeniable problem that anyone can diagnose.

How would you like if you went to a doctor for the first time, for a simple ear cleaning. And the doctor flat out comes into the room without introducing herself and says " your going to die soon, your going to die if you don't get your bp under control" umm hello? How about we speak first, or introduce yourself or ways of treatment before you layout that kind of information. Id rather die then see her again. back to my normal doctor. Thank god her nurse was awesome.

she is EXTREMELY rude. my entire appointment was rushed and she kept repeating, "is there anything else?" like she was annoyed that I was there.

I have seen Grace Gamponia twice now. Both times I felt she had a complete disregard for my mental state (I was very depressed), she did not listen to what I was saying and frequently starting answering my question before I finished asking. As you might expect, she didn't answer the question properly because she didn't listen to me in the first place. She constantly spoke over me. I requested a dermatology referral from her on both occasions because I am high risk for skin cancer and I also had an existing skin reaction that she couldn't help me with. Both times, she told me that she would put one on my record right away and she never did. I just called the clinic to have the referral sent to the dermo that I found, but she never put one on my record and I now have to wait a minimum of five days for the request to go through. Additionally, she prescribed me a few medications and told me absolutely nothing about them. One of the prescriptions was an antidepressant. She didn't give me… any warnings, no information, nothing regarding this drug. When I wrote her on mychart and asked an important question about the drug, she didn't answer my question. She has offended me on a patient level and on a human level. Grace Gamponia is not a good doctor. She doesn't care at all. You are a number. Don't waste your time with her.

My hubby and I have been treated by Dr. Grace Gamponia for almost 10 yrs. now. Although we can speak English fluently, we feel comfortable talking to her in Tagalog since we are both Filipino .I can tell her what I feel and I can ask some suggestions or advice on what to do in order to treat a certain illness. She asked me what I feel concerning the new medication she prescribed. She used to email me to remind me of my next visit in the clinic. When I have question regarding my medicine or health issue, I use the "My Chart" and she responds thru email. So far we have no problem with her as our own provider because she treats me and my husband fairly well. For that I can give her a 5 star :) Dora & Ding

I was a patient of Dr. Gamponia while I was pregnant with my second child. Two days after his birth, I started having trouble breathing. I made an emergency appointment with Dr. Gamponia and she listened to me explain my symptoms and declared that I had bronchitis. She spent all of five minutes with me and ended up writing a prescription for an Allbuteral inhaler and sent me on my way. One day later, I was rushed to the hospital and was immediately given an ultrasound on my veins (the ER originally feared I had a blood clot), MRI, CAT scan and bloodwork. Thirty minutes later I received my diagnosis - post partum cardiomyopathy. I had heart disease as a result of my pregnancy. The ejection fraction of my left ventrical was at 10%. Normal is 60% and above. I spent the next week in the hospital. If I hadn't made it to the ER when I did, I would have either ended up in ICU...or dead. It is an extremely rare condition with more than 60% of women dying; most from sudden death. … Would you trust your life to Dr. Gamponia? I don't.

She is an incredibly caring doctor who expresses genuine concern about my condition, which is quite complicated. She treats me with respect and listens to what I have to say. A lot of doctors don't. I do suggest that a patient should go to their appointment prepared and knowing what they need to ask.

I'm sorry to say that my experience is very much like what was already shared. Dr. G. did not look at my elderly friend once during her time with her. She was more interested in the computer. She was judgemental, making assumptions about me and my friend which were totally unfounded. As was already said, VERY troubling.

Very judgmental, and quick to write a prescription I had thyroid issues going on and she gave me atenolol? Which is for blood pressure I had my blood pressure up at 2 visits... And I don't have high blood pressure now at all. I nearly passed out at the pool...I didn't need the atenolol I found out. I had thyroid disease but she never looks for the root cause just gives a pill. I found out my overactive thyroid was the culprit!...what a bad experience mine was. She didn't like it when I told her I got a second opinion, but if you feel somethings wrong do get another opinion. Not Our Dr anymore! But the good thing is she goes overseas to help in the phillipines that's a good hearted Dr.

Doctor Gamponia did not treat my condition successfully and did not seem to care about my symptoms, very troubling.
