Dr. Grace Elaine Mcgibbon, MD

The worst ophthalmologist ever! When I visited her in the Ophthalmology Department at Kaiser she was very abrupt in when I questioned her about my diagnosis. She diagnosed me to have cataracts and glaucoma, which were both false. She prescribed drops for my eyes which I did not need because I did not have glaucoma

She was awful. She was very abrupt with me and misdiagnosed my condition.. She stated that I had glaucoma and bilateral cataracts. Both untrue? I got a second opinion from another opthalmologist at Kaiser in Largo MD. After examining me vision he asked me what did Dr McGibbon tell me. I told him the above and he said "Ms Jackson I don't know what to tell you but you do not have glaucoma nor cataracts! And that's why I got a second opinion because I did not believe Dr McGibbon. Of course doctors protect each other so I'm going to file a law suit. She said to me "You have glaucoma because it states in your records that you mother had it." WHAT....

Our bodies are precious and we want to be healthy...keeping every thing in good shape, especially our eyes/ vision. She misdiagnosed my condition..stating that I had glaucoma because she read in the chart that my Mom had glaucoma. I got a second opinion..McGibbon misdiagnosed my condition. I do not have glaucoma. I was poisoned at Panera Bread in Waldorf MDF. I expressed this to Dr McGibbon as probably being the cause of high pressure in my eyes...that's when she yelled "THAT AIN'T got nothing to do with food poisoning you got glaucoma. I did my research searching the cause of high eye pressure and learned that being dehydrated was an example. BINGO...I was severely dehydrated I regurgitated the chicken noodle soup six times in Urgent Care Kaiser in Largo, MD while waiting two hrs before being seen. I went to her basically to discuss my bilateral cataracts which she did not discuss because she said " we have to worry about that glaucoma now, well talk about the cataracts later. Well… let me tell you. As I stated earlier I got a second opinion by another ophthalmologist at Kaiser...no cataracts and no glaucoma. "

I had eye surgery in 2015. She did a great job.

She's all about business , no personality not at least to my nationality or me personally. However shes does her job and seem thorough in doing so. That's all that matters in the long run!
