Dr. Graeme Scott Steele, MD

14 years ago, I had my prostate removed at the MGH and ended up completely incontinent, 5 or 6 diapers per day. Completely depressed for 6 months, I went to see Dr. Steele who installed a "Sling" in the morning and I was discharged in the afternoon ... 2 weeks later, I clearly remember throwing out all my extra "unneeded" diapers into the recycle bin (that was a Great Day for me).. 14 years later, I am down in Miami "super hydrating" drinking over one gallon of liquid per day and never ever am I in a rush to find a restroom, I go at my convenience ... I feel like a camel traveling across the desert, no rush, no hurry and no worries ever ... to say Dr Steele's work on me was a "lifesaver" would be an understatement, it was a Miracle ... also may I add, he's a great guy too but that somehow gets overshadow by his miraculous surgical work .... Anybody with a similar problem, go to Dr Steele immediately ... I was prompted to write this review 14 years later because this morning I… was walking through CVS and happened to pass through the Male Diaper Section ... Thanks a Million, Dr Steele

While waiting in the exam room for Dr. Steele. I heard him arguing with a nurse in the hallway. He was so rude to her and chauvinistic, talking about how he's "the man." Then I heard him on the phone complaining about her and would someone send another nurse, the one with the big "chest" [his words not fit to print] and "yeah, she's a 10." Obviously he didn't think there were patients nearby, or didn't care. I was so disgusted that I complained to Patient Relations downstairs.

Never do an RPLND surgery with Dr. Steele

Dr. Steele was my Dad's urologist for many years, then this year when my Dad took ill, I had to call 911 and he was brought to a local hospital close to where he lives. The care was horrendous and I called Dr.. Steele many times. I was ignored and put off by him repeatedly. The diagnosis was simply urine retention however the catheter was left in for 19 days and he got worse and then died. Dr. Steel did NOT advocate for his patient, but rather ignored him and he violated the hippocratic oath. I would never recommend him to anyone. No Dr. should ignore a patient when that patient is so obviously in need of help. Shame on him. I only wish there was a half star or zero star rating, as that would be most appropriate.

Saved my life May 2017

Dr. Steele performed a surgery on me several years ago after consulting with him a few times. He has a knack for explaining some complex medical terms quite easily. I remember him drawing the anatomy and describing how everything interacts, what he intended to do- it really put me at ease for my first ever surgery. The procedure was a success. Great doc!

Dr. Steel is a very thorough, knowledgeable and direct surgeon. He took his time to explain in detail my problem and did a surgical intervention in a manner that every patient would like to have. He is a very pleasant person and as far as I know the best in his field. Highly recommend!

Doctor Steele is definitely the best doctor I have had treatment from in my 68 years. He cured my cancer within three months of initial diagnosis and is one of the kindest, gentle men I have ever met. Be assured if you are lucky enough to have Dr. Steele treating you, you are certainly in the best of hands.

He is the best doctor in his field. He is kind, humble and has that healing touch.
