Dr. Grant R. Fairbanks (Sr) is the embodiment of superb medical knowledge and professional skill, combined with a warm and gracious manner, which conveys a sense of reassurance to his patients that is backed up by ability. He is also a multi-talented artist, whose many works encompass a very broad spectrum of creativity and vision, which he applies thoughtfully to his patients. As a young teenage boy, I was involved in a major auto accident that, among other injuries, left me a broken nose and shards of glass embedded in my face and head, with several dangerously close to my optic nerve. My family asked some lawyer friends that specialize in medical law who they would recommend and, without hesitation, they suggested Dr. Fairbanks. He's the plastic surgeon that the lawyers who know all the nitty-gritty details about plastic surgery and who really runs a reputable practice would go to see. Upon their recommendation, I became a patient of Dr. Fairbanks. I couldn’t have asked for a more… competent surgeon, or a kinder and more caring gentleman. During every consultation and meeting with Dr. Fairbanks, I was put at ease by his humor and the sharing of his deep passion for history and music. We had so many interesting conversations and I was impressed by his ability to be both professional and personable. Multiple surgeries were required to successfully and completely remove the glass in my face and head, necessitating a delicate and deft touch to do so without permanently damaging my vision or marring my appearance. The surgery to repair my broken nose went equally well and, by Dr. Fairbanks’ hand, I was finally restored to my pre-accident self without complication or issue. During my time as a patient of Dr. Fairbanks, I also discovered that he is the surgeon who many come to in order to fix the problems that were caused by other plastic surgeries; Dr. Fairbanks is the talented and compassionate doctor who will right the wrongs created by lesser physicians. Dr. Grant R. Fairbanks (Senior) is a wonderful plastic surgeon. He was able to correct a cosmetic procedure that another surgeon had botched. I wish I would have found him originally. He cares about his patients and he provides diligent post procedure care as well as thorough preparation in advance of surgery. He is a master of his craft. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

I just can't give Dr. Fairbanks enough praise. I researched plastic surgeons and asked everyone I knew for references before choosing Fairbanks Plastic Surgery for my Rhinoplasty surgery. I had young people giving me names of surgeons that had you back to work within a week and were cheaper. Call me old fashioned, but that didn't sound right to me. The minute I stepped into Dr. Fairbanks' office I knew I had found my new best friend. His staff was friendly, professional and kind and Dr. Fairbanks is such a sweet soul. As I looked around the office, I could see the sculptures and art work that were a part of Dr. Fairbanks background. He is an artist, teacher, and an incredible surgeon. After an in depth conversation he was able to come up with drawings of how he could improve my nose. I was very impressed with his vision and even more impressed with his final work of art. Not only did I get my nose sculptured, I also had my deviated septum fixed and my breathing and sense of… smell have improved 1000%. The day he took the splint off my nose I swear I grew two inches. For almost 30 years I have gone to Dr Fairbanks to look as good as I feel. With each surgery, I interviewed at least 5 other plastic surgeons. I compared their before and after photos while researching pros and cons of the procedures and reviews of patients. This process took at least a year in order for me to feel comfortable with trusting a surgeon and knowing the risks and benefits of the elective surgeries. Dr. Fairbanks is one of the best plastic surgeons in the world and we have him here in Utah. He is a hidden gem for those seeking beautiful results.

I have been contemplating a rhinoplasty ever since I was a teenager...I am now in my 60's...so, I finally decided that I would do some research over the internet to determine whom to perform the surgery. I found a site "Rhinoplasty Association" that listed various doctors throughout the United States, and noticed that Utah only had one name listed, and it was Dr. Grant R. Fairbanks...so, I went to his website and read his biography and credentials and was amazed to find he has a plethora of teaching experience in the medical field, and the fact that he is an artist and sculptor as well! I then noticed some of the other procedures that he performed as well, and was so impressed by the photos of patients that had had facelifts done by him -- how natural they looked. He uses a technique that not many plastic surgeons in the United States perform. He is meticulous to detail and spends time prior to surgery during consultations to thoroughly explain the procedure and discuss any concerns… whatsoever you may have; also, he takes extra precautions to insure that you are in good health and not at risk to undergo surgery. I felt so comfortable and safe in his qualified and skilled hands! He has been in practice for 40+ years and facelifts and rhinoplasty are his specialities. But, he does perform other procedures as well. I have never had a doctor who would take the time to go over every detail prior to surgery and educate you as to what to expect. He always treated me with the utmost respect and patience at all times. Where it seems common for some doctors to hire nurses to take care of the busy work, he is at the forefront and the nurse is there just to assist. You felt valued and important, never neglected in any way! I highly recommend him to anyone that is considering a facelift. Just for reference, my husband wanted me to consult with one of his patients just to be certain that I would be comfortable with having a facelift...I was ecstatic to find out that the referral was a nurse that had worked with Dr. Grant R. Fairbanks for three years and had seen him perform surgeries and had chosen him to be her plastic surgeon of choice for a facelift. She said he is meticulous to detail and she is happy with her results...she had it done about 18 months ago. She convinced me that I would be happy with the results and that the only people that would even know I had it done would be those I purposely chose to tell because the end results are so natural-looking. His technique can predictably make you look 15-20 years younger than you are! Just a side note, I plan on have him perform my rhinoplasty, too, just wanting till I can arrange it, as I live out of town and I still need to completely heal from my facelift first.

Last week I had my post facelift follow up with dr Fairbanks and I have to express my appreciation for all the time in the world he took during the consultative process and also during my follow up visit, to listen and answer all of my questions. I just felt that once again I have to express how grateful I am for his experienced, highly professional and also very sensitive precision artistry which made my face look refreshed and vibrant, but most importantly natural without looking overdone, artificial overly pulled. Dr. Fairbanks has enhanced my overall appearance, my face never looked better. He did an incredible job! What strikes me most about his special talents as a surgeon is his thorough attention to detail. I am beyond happy and satisfied, results really exceeded all of my expectations.
