Dr. Graves Thorne Owen

Told me to stop playing chicken little running around "I'm in pain, I'm in pain." Made me feel like a wimp who didn't deserve to find relief. His PA was even worse. Heard her tell patients all the time...that's why they call it practicing medicine. Really? Then charge me when we actually get relief.

Horrible experience, made unhelpful comment, stop playing chicken little and run around stating you're in pain." Only saw him once, even when I was in the office and suicidal, he never came in even though he was there. His PA Kelly was even worse. Kept changing meds on me and said that why we call it practicing medicine. I heard her say this to other patients in the hall several times. Once again, not helpful.

i left crying worst experience ever... if you are suffering this man wont help unless you agree to see his in house PT and in house pychotherapist i dont have time or money for his snake oil

I have been to see Dr. Owen twice now and both times he has been kind and compassionate. He takes the time to answer all of my questions (and I ask a lot of questions), and always makes sure I understand every detail of my treatment plan. His staff is professional and courteous, concentrated on getting you to see the doctor as efficiently as possible. I highly recommend if you are in fact seeking treatment. If you are just looking for medication without actual treatment, he's probably not the best doctor for you because he's out to get to the bottom of your problem, not just mask it with drugs. Don't get me wrong, he's not anti-medication, but he's not just going to write you a prescription and usher you out the door. He's far too ethical and professional for that. Also, he's got a fantastic bedside manner. He never seemed put out by my nonstop questions and concerns regarding my treatment. I feel better than I've felt in a very long time and will continue to see Dr. Owen for as long… as I need treatment.

Dr Owen is a wonderful doctor! He was very thorough and caring. If your intentions are true and you are searching for good,ethical treatment,he is definately the way to go.It's hard to find a doctor who has great and patient bedside manner anymore and we found that in Dr Owen

Since my pain management 'journey' began in 1989 after a car wreck, Dr. Owen and his Clinical Nurse Practitioner, Kelley Pennell, have done more for me than any other doctor to date. They have started me on a new medication that is, for me, a miracle drug. It has reduced my narcotic intake while still managing the pain. I work more, live more, and am more content than I have been since the day a drunk driver rear ended me on IH35. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.
