I had a situation that landed me in the ER in Feb of 2019. The Dr. at the hospital I went to basically told me she wasn't comfortable doing the surgery that needed to be done. For a second opinion, I went to Dr Southern. He was kind, caring, and attentive. He saw ME as a person and not a chart. He ran tests that the other Dr didn't run to insure that the surgery was handled exactly as it should be, and made sure I understood everything along the way. I was happy enough with his care that I chose him for my surgeon and I don't have a single regret. It is rare these days to find a Dr that makes sure you are comfortable with a situation and asks your opinions instead of just telling you how they want it to be. He made sure to explain every single aspect of what was going on with me and every single test result. When I messaged him with a question or concern before or after my surgery the response was prompt.
