Dr. Grazia Aleppo Kacmarek, MD

Her office is in disarray. I spent 48 hours trying to make an appointment. Finally was told she does not take new patients. This was after all kinds of requirements.

Dr. Aleppo is by far the best endocrinogist I have ever seen, and I have treated with many over the years. Her in-depth lnowledge of diabetes and its intricately complex nuances and effects are impressive, and her ability to apply this knowledge to each patient's daily life is astounding. Imagine a complex treatment plan catered to oneself and one's lifestyle. Her approach is helping me improve and maintain a healthy life, teaching me how to better take control of my condition, and thus allowing me to live my life to the fullest. I highly recommend her if you want to attain the healthieat you with this complicated condition. She has an excellent bedside manner, great energy, and the best sense of humor!!

Dr. Aleppo is the best doctor I have been treated by. She was able to diagnose Cushings which is very rare, and no other doctor even mentioned it. She is extremely prompt in answering My Chart messages. I highly recommend her to anyone, expecially Diabetic patients.

I've been a type 1 diabetic for 25 years, never having a A1C below 7. Always considered "uncontrolled". After having my first appointment with Dr. Aleppo, my A1C was 5.1 in 3 months! She has taught me how to mange my diabetes and I couldn't be more appreciative. Dr. Aleppo's bedside manner is to work with you, not scary you, but work as a team to lead a better life. She has literally been the best physician I've had.

Dr. Aleppo is wonderful. She is no-nonsense for sure. I consider myself a fairly sensitive person and was upset after my first visit and not sure I wanted to go back. However, as a Type 1 for several years, I needed some motivation to start paying attention again and she gave that to me. She talked me into the pump and my A1C has improved drastically. Ever since the first meeting she has been super kind as well. The only problem I have now is getting an appointment because she is so booked but she never runs far behind and will take appointments through her lunch if you need to get in!

Dr. Aleppo is extremely poor at communicating. I have dangerously low hormone levels and have worked with several physicians to diagnose the issue. Dr. Aleppo as others have said said that it was "all in my head" and that perhaps if I weren't so stressed out my hormones would improve themselves. She was condescending whenever I had a question,and just darn right insensitive. I would not recommend her services.

Here's the horrid part:Brusque, rude and condescending during my appt with her. Wouldn't acknowledge pieces of information I gave her about my condition (autoimmune disease that resulted in hypothyroidism). Actually scolded me for not having my bloodwork done before my appointment - which I was told by her staff that I was supposed to afterwards. Told me that the hypo symptoms I reported to her weren't real, and went so far as to tell me to see a psychiatrist because these symptoms were "all in your head". She couldn't get me out of her office fast enough.And for the dangerous part:After consulting another physician I learned I was two thyroid hormone dosage amounts off of what I should have been. Also found suspicious nodules on my thyroid thru an ultrasound, which is something Dr. Aleppo didn't even entertain giving me.After getting AWAY FROM DR ALEPPO and working with another physician I'm happy to say my hypo symptoms have disappeared and I'm monitoring the nodule growth on my… thyroid. Too bad I wasted time working with her.
