Dr. Greg Alan Biberstein, MD

I had never been to see Dr. Biberstein but my kid’s normal pediatrician was on vacation and he was one of the only doctors who had openings that day and I recognized his name from one of the doctors when I was a kid. My 16 month old went from sleeping like a log every night to waking up for hours at a time completely inconsolable for several days in a row. His nurse asked me questions but when he came in asked zero questions. He looked in my sons ears then left the room for 10 minutes. Came back, said nothing but used one of those pressure gauge things in his ears. More fumbled around with it then actually seeming to know how to use it. Again left the room for 5-10 minutes saying nothing. Comes back and admits neither ear looks infected but the gauge graph looked abnormal so it must be the early onset of an ear infection. Interrupted me when I tried to question him and prescribed antibiotics and I left in tears as I was physically and emotionally exhausted from a week of no sleep. My… older son has had two sets of tubes in his ears, I’m well aware what an ear infection presents like. My son had no symptoms of one but he had no interest in hearing me out. He is everything that is wrong with medicine these days, “here take an antibiotic and get out of my office”. Thankfully I did not give my son the antibiotics and even more thankfully he seems to be fine and going back to his normal sleeping habits. I’m sorry but if you don’t want to do your job anymore, you need to retire. We trust you to take care of our tiny humans who have no voice, not dismiss worried parents because you don’t have an answer for their concerns.
