I had such a great experience working with Dr. Griewe and his staff that I will recommend him to my son, brother and entire family. His experience concerning surgery gave me great confidence with peace. The entire surgery process from beginning to recovery has gone as he predicted. I trust him entirely.

Mr. Griewe was excellent to me when he preformed surgery for my bladder mesh that had decenigrated in 2014. Then when the 2nd one started coming unravelled hanging out me ...he had never seen anything like that before. He preformed a surgical procedure to get rid of the part that was hanging out. Now he's gonna have to do the old fashioned surgery and literally tack my bladder up without the mesh. Best bedside manner ever! 5 stars

I had a severe infection in my right kidney. A "procedure" was scheduled and I had no idea what he was even going to do the day of. He did the dye test to check for kidney function. Told me my right kidney was dead basically and nothing could be done. "That ship has sailed", "go live your life". Wait, What?? I'm 54-year-old and a very active woman. He said there's no tube connecting my kidney to my bladder. I saw it myself! There is. It's pinched off near the bottom. He told me to just leave the kidney inside of me and go on with my life. The kidney that caused such a bad infection I had to have morphine at the ER a week earlier. And now, they are giving me a hard time just to get MY medical records sent to UNC Hospital to see a competent Doctor. Save yourself. Research before seeing this man.

Terrible doctor. Performed a surgery without explaining the possible risks. Botched the surgery. Wouldn’t take ownership of the botched surgery job or acknowledge the fact that there was an issue with recovery. Very dismissive. Very arrogant.

After a bit of a wait in the waiting room I was taken back to the Urology clinic by Dr Griewe's kind staff. Very courteous and knowledgeable. I was to have a procedure done and was very nervous. Dr Griewe answered all of my questions and did the procedure. When the results came back he personally called me and spent 45 minutes on the phone answering all my questions. Then gave me his home and cell phone numbers if I had any more questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a urologist in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines area.

Went to this doctor for kidney failure issues. Wanted to do a procedure that always has anesthia but he wasn't going to use any because he scheduled my procedure in his clinic and not in the hospital. I told him no way and he would not reschedule the procedure in the hospital (he wouldn't make as much money in the hospital). Was in the hospital and got another consult with another urologist, who I trusted. Wanted them to do the procedure and Dr. Griewe blocked the physcian from doing it, even though I fired him. I scheduled the procedure with the other doctor and when I showed up at the hospital, guess who was doing my procedure, Dr. Griewe. The procedure was necessary for saving my kidney and I couldn't get anyone else to do it because he threatens the other urologists. Needless to say, I am now at the Mayo Clinic because of this man. He never followed up with me after the surgery either. Very, very bad doctor. I am a woman and this was very stressful for me. He is a Dr.… Mengele. PLEASE USE ANOTHER DOCTOR.

very professional very friendly I absolutely did not feel rushed. Very thorough. Made me feel extremely comfortable. One of the best doctors I have ever been to.

Dr. Griewe diagnosed my problem quickly and was able to schedule me for surgery within a month's time. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He stayed with me and discussed what I would expect after the surgery as far as possible outcomes for healing and recovery. I felt completely at ease with him. I have recommended him to many of many colleagues and friends.
