Dr. Gregory Douglas Cook, MD

Dr Cook has left this practice. I have called FOUR times in order to select another endocrinologist in the practice and schedule an appointment. I am in need of routine testing and prescription refills. Yet no one has bothered to return my call. I am a type 1 diabetic and my life depends on insulin. This is malpractice

He is the Best, and really cares and listens closely to his patients concerns. Highly recommended!!!!!

A garbage doctor, honestly . This is the only review I have ever left because my experience was so bad. I went in to discuss abnormal test results. We discussed my symptoms, and he told me they seemed within normal range, and the acne, abnormal hair growth, and severe ovarian pain was all normal, and for the most part cosmetic. He then proceeded to tell me that i should just find a partner who was okay with a little hair on women, and that sometimes his wife didnt shave her armpits and he was okay with it. When I brought up the possibility of me having a hormonal condition that runs in my family, he said it was highly unlikely because i am not overweight, which is one of the symptoms of the condition. He then offered to prescribe me a very expensive cream that is not covered by insurance, and referred me to a dermatologist. At one point he told me it was very nice to see a young (I'm 24) patient in such good health. During no time during the exam did he touch me, or really… listen to my concerns and I left near tears because this is the second time at St. Mary's I have not been listened to about my symptoms. About a month after this appointment, I went to a new OBGYN outside of St Marys, since my hormonal condition was largely androgen based, and the condition that runs in my family is largely surrounding the ovaries. Almost immediately upon this exam (outside of Dr. Cook's office, not affiliated in any way) the doctor told me that it was very likely that I have me with what Dr. Cook said was impossible for me to have, and that he was incompetent for saying I would have to be overweight, as that is no longer a criteria at all, and is extremely discriminatory. She then scheduled me for tests to confirm, but upon physical exam she said that is is highly likely that it will come through as positive. If I listened to Dr. Cook, I would continue to be in severe pain, instead of treating this condition. Him telling me about his wife was extremely unprofessional, and I am still looking in to ways to submit a formal complaint. He is by far the most unprofessional doctor that I have ever seen, and I have since recommended several people to avoid him. Other cons: I waited in the office's waiting room for an hour past my appointment time. Yes, he took time to explain everything, but he also is unprofessional and ignores your complaints.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cook for 2 years + and have had great results. Have and will recommend him to persons I know.

Was very happy with Dr. Cooke, he not only addressed my pre-diabetes, but discovered an irregular heartbeat that I have which my PCP couldn't find.

Treated for a very tricky thyroid condition. Superb diagnostic skills; listens to patients and is very thorough.
